The chirashi bowl is usually how I measure a sushi place. Here the bowl is fantastic, picture attached, and there is plenty of food for the $21.95 pricetag. Sushi is fresh, and well portioned. Well worth the price. I also liked the feel of the dishes the food came in, real stoneware and not some cheap plastic as many other places. The staff is great, and the food came out quickly after ordering. I was overall very pleasantly surprised by the experience of such good food in an inconspicuous strip mall. I also ordered one order uni which had a hefty $15.99 pricetag, which took me back a bit. However, there's no doubt this indeed must be one of the better sushi places I've visited since I got to the Bay area.

The red miso soup had excellent tofu - definitely NOT supermarket bought - a great first impression. I ordered the Chirashi which came out to $23.98 after tax. The portions were huge - 19 pieces of fish, enough for two people, but no tamago yaki. The freshness was pretty good, probably due to good turnover at this restaurant. The waitresses were quickly moving from table to table like busy bees. Unfortunately, they gave me the same wrong bill, three times in a row 8^p. Overall, even though a bit expensive, it's actually a good value at 4.5 stars, considering the portions and attention to quality (it appears to be a Korean-run restaurant). I will be back to try their sashimi and nigiri.

Om nom nom... I used to come here quite often, but I've found a new place I'm loyal to because the quality is equal but it is closer to me. The food here is still great and the prices are what you'd expect from a sushi place :'). Service is nice too! I don't have any pics of sushi from here, but I do have a pic of chicken katsu I got a while ago. For my fellow people with allergies: make sure you ask about what oil they cook with and make sure they aren't garnishing with something that can asphyxiate you. I once ordered chicken katsu and didn't ask for no sesame, so when I got it the rice on the side was covered with it. Don't forget!!

The grand finally killed it all.

I watched employees turn away customers at 8:30p saying they were closed. Not really a problem to me but at least post the real hours so customers don’t show up wasting their time.

I got in at about 8:20pm so I was in luck, or was I? My sushi was ok, miso soup good, and salmon plate no flavor, but it was a large portion…

My issue was not the food though. One of the ladies dropped off the check to my table, directly next to my plate. Not sure why I entertained paying before finishing up my dinner, being that I only had about 3 or 4 bites left, but I paid before I was done anyway, to be “nice”. I place my card with the check, away from my plate. The lady takes my card, comes back and places the receipt and card once again right next to my plate. I literally have one or two bites left at this point so I grab the check and place it away from the general place I’m eating, then she comes back grabs the receipt places back next to my plate and asked me “can you sign please.“ Hey “can I finish my food first?” It was literally 8:50pm and she’s kicking me out the door! I was the last of 3 tables in there and I was by myself! Not like I was with a huge party of people.

Horrible service by this lady. And more disrespectful more than anything. I understand wanting to leave early but be respectful and courteous. Don’t be placing checks and encouraging people to sign a check before even finishing their last bite. I ended up leaving and not finishing up because of the service. Definitely wasted my time and money here, won’t be...

Two words: GREG ROLL

you won't find that on the menu, it's something that you wish you knew and now you do! The only reason I bring it up is because this roll only exists here and it's worth getting. Enough to feed 2 people and even more for just $20.

Greg Roll noun a gargantuan astronomical Japanese sushi roll containing all the works (crunchy flakes, delicious fish, spicy mayo, etc) including a heaping pile of seaweed and sashimi pieces on top.

But really besides that, everything is pretty standard here. Their rolls are delicious and pretty generous in size so you can't go wrong with any of them! I love love their lion king because the salmon has this nice smoky flavor to it. They also have this unagi lover role which is pretty much a california roll but with a WHOLE SLAB OF EEL on it. It's just chilling there perfectly cooked and uncut, that eel was just glistening. I've also tried their sushi and sashimi combo and I thought the sushi pieces were great but the sashimi pieces were a little underwhelming. Everything here is decently priced, the rolls are around 7-15 dollar range excluding the super fancy rolls.

Their service is for the most part consistent, sometimes when they're really packed, they can be a bit slow. The restaurant has plenty of tables for seating, it's great for families or groups. They also have TVs mounted on the walls so you can watch sports/shows while you're eating. All in all, solid...

Good sushi found in Fremont of all places!? I've eaten here several times and with each visit both the sushi rolls and sashimi are consistently great.

If it's your first time here, you have to order the Flaming Dragon roll. It looks super neato and is pretty darn delicious too. This roll is so popular, I'm told they make upwards of 40 in one night. For sashimi, if you enjoy your fish buttery - the Escolar (aka my friend Iris' fav) here is awesome.

Other Fun/Random Tips: -If you eat here for dinner and you're feeling up for a dining adventure, be sure to order the "GREG'S SECRET ROLL". (Note: The chef that makes this roll primarily only cooks for the dinner crowd.) The origins of this roll come from a regular/weekly customer's request for rolls without snow crab. The chef would oblige with this extra large sized sushi roll, now known as Greg's Secret Roll. A more appropriate name for this roll would be the Surprise Roll, since sometimes the roll will vary with its ingredients depending on how the chef feels that day.

-The $0.99/Sake shot nights are awesome! But get there early, because it gets really crowded fast!

-They sell cool Satomi Sushi T-Shirts for the...
