Bakery Delights is a cozy Chinese bakery tucked away at Cedar & Herndon, serving not only fresh buns and pastries 🥐 but also classic Cantonese roast meats 🍖. It’s the kind of place where you can walk in for a sweet bun and walk out with a full plate of roast duck over rice. 🦆 Roast Duck Rice Combo 🍚🥦 For $19, you get a generous portion of roast duck layered over steamed white rice with broccoli on the side. The duck itself is a standout—juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced between fatty richness and lean cuts. The portion size is impressive, rivaling some established Chinese restaurants in both quality and quantity. Don’t skip the accompanying duck sauce 🥢—it ties the dish together with a savory depth that elevates both the meat and the rice. 🥯 Red Bean Paste Bun 🌸 From the bakery side, the red bean paste bun is soft, slightly sweet, and filled with smooth bean paste that’s not overly heavy. It’s a great grab-and-go snack and showcases the shop’s roots as a traditional Chinese bakery. • ⭐ Taste: 7 • 💵 Price: 8 • 🍽️ Portion: 8 • ✅ Overall: 7 ✨ Verdict: Bakery Delights punches above its weight. Whether you’re in the mood for hearty roast duck or a sweet bun, this small spot delivers solid flavors and good value. A hidden gem worth revisiting.

I cannot speaking to authenticity, however comparing the buns in Seattle these fall short. I ordered the BBQ Pork baked and steamed … I also tried the hot dog bun as well as the roasted pork plate. The baked buns were a little doughy on the bottom making them super soggy. I was pleased with the amount of meat, but a little too much fat for my liking. The plate … the pork belly had a lovely crust in it. However, I am not used to more than half fat to meat ratio. I did not end up eating it. My favorite thing was the hotdog bun sadly. I recommend it to maybe those who like what I described. It’s just different than what I experienced in Seattle. 😕

I have been a loyal patron for over 3-4 years. That ended today. I will not be giving my business to this place nor will any of my family members from now on. Not only has the quality dropped, the portions and quality control have. Several times I've gotten cold buns, or dry buns. Today I came in and spent well over $20. Both of my baked pork buns were nothing but bread with small sprinkles of pork. Absolutely ridiculous. This was my final straw and will never be returning. As friendly as the staff is and I always wanna support local, theres genuinely no excuse for charging me $3 for a glorified bread roll.

I had to go and try this place out since i saw a video review on them. And i just have to say, this place did not disappoint at all!!! I just have to say...OMG!!! I love their steamed pork bao buns! They were so delicious! I bought a lot of things since it was my first time here. I bought 2 pork buns, 1 fried pork dumpling, 1 ube rice cake, 1 lotus moon cake, 1 hot dog bun, 1 turtle bread, and 1 pork belly/BBQ pork rice bowl. I didn't take any pictures 🤦‍♀️ because I was so excited to try a little of everything! All of it was so delicious. The bbq pork on the bowl was so tender, and the pork belly had a great crunchy crisp to it! It's a great combination! My son loved the turtle bread! And the fried pork dumpling was AMAZING!!! It had such a great flavor to it, just the right amount of seasoning. And not greasy at all. I will definitely be going back again! And I will definitely take pictures next...

Although I frequent this area often, I have never seen this place. We tried the BBQ pork bun, BBQ pork Bao, green onion roll, egg custard, and ube cream cheese roll (it looked like a hot pocket). All of them were excellent. I preferred the pork bun for something savory and the egg custard tart for something sweet. The Ube was supposed to have cream cheese, but it must have absorbed into the bread because I didn't really see it or taste it. Service was fast and efficient, and there were a lot of people coming through. The ambiance is focused on takeout, but they do have a couple tables and 5 or 6 chairs if you want to sit down and try something....which we did. They close at 6 pm but co.e early because they run out of the good stuff. I was happy to find something new in Fresno (that has been here 20 years). I think they need a better sign out front. At least that's my story, and I'm...
