Food gets a thumbs up, price gets a thumbs up, location thumbs up, customer service usually have no complaints. Memorial day, we thought eating some tacos from here was a good idea 4 for 4 of us. We made an order of 16 tacos. 8 plain, 4 with tomatoes and 4 with onions. A block walk to the restaurant. A block walk back. My sister in law went since she usually goes there. Always spoke very highly of the place and all the times she's bought them, I've always enjoyed them. Now, when she returned after handing everyone else's out she realized she was short one plate of 4, her plate. She was was a little disappointed and it was hot outside. My brother asked her where the receipt was and she said she hadn't gotten a receipt, doesn't usually get one because she's never had an issue and was confident that the mistake would be corrected because she was familiar with the woman there and that she asked her twice as usual about her taco count. Once when she orders and once again after she gets her order-to-go for confirmation so she doesn't have to open the bag and sift through the boxes. Give or take 20 minutes or so later, sister-in-law returns with an entirely different demeanor. Far from that humble confident woman that left the house to go grab her own tacos. She was upset and from this response I knew that something had gone wrong. She says the woman told her that she did not charge her for 16 that she only charged her for 12 but the woman refused to find the copy of the receipt that she should've made an hour prior maybe give or take. She reminded her that she had confirmed with her twice and even repeated the order back to her when she was ordering. Then she said yes there's sauce and lemons in the bag and trays. She then asked, there's 16 tacos here too? And she said yes. The woman disagreed and refused to give her her food. So when she asked to speak to the manager, the woman told her, that she would call her but she didn't think she'd be interested in speaking with her because "her kind of people" come in here all the time! This is what really upset her... She said, excuse me? I come in here all the time and I've never had an issue with my order until today. So you're telling me that I'm trying to swindle free tacos from you, like I cannot afford to buy them? She said, you know what... that's OK... everyone is going to know how you treat repeat customers. And I will speak to someone of authority. The woman told her to get out and that she was no longer allowed to come inside their restaurant. We always buy 8 or more tacos when we go there. And they're conveniently across the street almost so basically a go-to spot. I couldn't believe she was treated like that. That woman must've been having a bad day because that hasn't happened before. Not sure what that was about but that woman should've at least given her the receipt so she could at least see that she paid the correct amount or turned her to the price chart and told her how much to go off what her change was. I mean there could've been a little accommodation since the customer is always right anyway. I've seen disrespectful people get the result they want more than the polite people have. It shouldn't be like this and I hate to think that if they screw up on my order and I tell them about it, that instead of them fixing the issue, that they instead compare your concern of getting what's yours to a person who cannot afford to eat there. Honestly started your insult with: "Your kind of people" is somewhat the universal slap in the face that doesn't slap you in the face alone but slaps everyone else in the face that she could possibly be referring to in that statement...
Read moreI will never come back here. I've ordered from here plenty of times and it was always a hit and miss.. some times the food was really good and sometimes it was okay. However, today I placed an order on uber eats for 2 asada, rice and cheese burritos. Both burritos were a joke, 98% rice, literally no meat and a sprinkle of cheese. I tried complaining to uber eats and asked for a remake but they dismissed me with a "$5 credit" (ridiculous). So I called Don Salsas and spoke to Miriam who told me to take back the burritos and they would remake them. I told her I couldn't go today but I did have the burritos if I can go in the morning but she said she wouldn't be there tomorrow and I'd have to go today.. it was a real inconvenience but my husband was hangry and at that point I was just trying to get us fed before heading out...so I had to drive 20 mins there to get a remake, however I'm like 3 mins down the road and I get a call from Miriam saying that she talked to her boss and they told her not to remake the burritos and that I had to take it up with Uber eats. I was livid, I let Miriam know it isn't her fault but that is bad customer service and terrible management. I've spent alot of money here over the years..and $30 uber eats order for 2 burritos is already ridiculous enough but to have it made so skimpy with literally no meat is not okay. I am trying to contact uber eats management but their customer service also lacks. Smh. Don Salsas, do better.
EDIT/reply to the response I don't need you to explain how uber eats works, I clearly said that I ordered through uber. I never had an issue paying THEIR fees, except for when the food is not made how it should be. The fact you had to check the camera just shows how greedy you are and lack of customer service on your behalf. I posted a picture of the burrito(under photos, latest) ..3 bites in all rice. I would not make this up lol. You shouldn't be offended, mistakes happen I just wanted it corrected. But yeah, your reply speaks volumes and I ...
Read moreSo this was my first time coming here. I had heard about it before and always wanted to try it out. Yet, it's not that close to me.
So, a day or two earlier, a friend posted that her husband brought her a chimichanga from there and how good it was, with a couple of pictures. It stuck out to me, as I love trying new places and been on my radar as somewhere I'd like to check out one day.
So after church, I decided to stop in, and my first impression was that the parking lot was basically for 3 cars. One handicapped spot and two regular, along with space for two more that states no parking. Thankfully, I was able to get a spot. I went inside and it was exceptionally clean. The floors were shiny, definitely waxed recently, some TV screens on the walls with a decent amount of places to sit.
I mentioned that I have a shellfish allergy, that I cannot even have anything cooked in the same oil or pan as it. She said no problem! I then asked for recommendations and she started naming off so many things that sounded amazing! Then I told her to tell me if it was her right now, what would she order? She said a wet burrito with green sauce and chili relleno and Carne asada in it. I said SOLD! Lol. I'm always down to try chili relleno. So to have that in a burrito...well...let's just saw heck yeah! I got a beer and soda to go with it and sat down to wait for my order.
I tell you what! That burrito took up the entire plate! It was sooo good! It didn't have any heat to it. Just good flavor. Of course I only could eat about a third of it and had the rest the next day. I can't wait to come back and try more options off the menu!
She mentioned they don't do any advertising, so it is all word by mouth. I'm telling you, go check this place out! It's...
