As an avid supporter of local family owned businesses, particularly those that embody the spirit of the American dream, I recently had the pleasure of visiting BenSmokin BBQ in the Tower District of Fresno. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a heartwarming story of a family's dedication, hard work, and the pursuit of their dreams.
From the moment you step inside, you're not just a customer, but a witness to a beautiful family story. The owners, a hardworking husband and wife team, manage the bustling demands of the restaurant while ensuring every guest feels welcomed. Their commitment is evident in every aspect of the operation, from taking orders to serving up delicious, smoky barbecue delights.
What truly sets BenSmokin BBQ apart is the inspiring sight of their children, busy with homework in a cozy corner of the restaurant. This isn't just a place of business; it's a nurturing environment where values like hard work, family, and education are seamlessly blended. Watching the parents juggle their professional responsibilities while raising their kids in this unique setting adds an incomparable flavor to the dining experience.
Their journey resonates deeply, especially in today's fast-paced world where the essence of family and hard work often gets overlooked. But it resonates moreover because it reminds me of how my parents started while raising us in the back of their convince store & gas station - my own childhood. At BenSmokin BBQ, these values are alive and thriving. It's heartening to see the parents imparting life lessons to their children in such a pragmatic and loving way. The kids, engrossed in their studies amidst the hustle of the restaurant, are growing up with an incredible work ethic and an understanding of commitment.
The food, oh the food! Each bite of their mouth-watering barbecue carries the essence of their passion and dedication. It's not just about the taste, which is phenomenal by the way, but also about the love and effort that goes into preparing each dish. The hospitality here is genuine and heartfelt, making the food taste even better, if that's possible.
Visiting BenSmokin BBQ was an experience that went beyond just enjoying a meal. It was inspiring to see a family so committed to their dream, working tirelessly yet with immense pride. This establishment is a shining example of what hard work and family values can achieve.
I wholeheartedly recommend BenSmokin BBQ to anyone looking for great food served with a side of genuine hospitality. As you enjoy the succulent flavors of their barbecue, you're also supporting a family's dream and witnessing the embodiment of the American dream right before your eyes.
To the wonderful family behind BenSmokin BBQ: your perseverance, dedication, and the love you pour into your business does not go unnoticed. Your story is inspiring, your food is exceptional, and your hospitality is unmatched. Here's to your continued success and to the many more customers who will walk through your doors to not only enjoy a meal but to be part of your remarkable journey.
Supporting local, family-owned businesses like BenSmokin BBQ is more than just enjoying a great meal; it's about nurturing the community and being part of something meaningful. I encourage everyone in Fresno and beyond to visit BenSmokin BBQ, to taste their incredible barbecue, and to experience the warmth and dedication of this extraordinary family.
Wishing you all the success and happiness you deserve. Your hard work and dedication are a true...
Read moreI ordered a rib tip dinner with fries, coleslaw, and 2 rolls. Also I ordered peach cobbler and collard greens sides. I agreed with Pat Watson review 4 months ago about the dinner. The coleslaw needed more flavor because it tasted like it was just made and bland. It may have taste good with a pull pork sandwich because thier mild sauce was sweet and tangy. The rib tip pieces were small and needed more seasoning. I should be able to eat rib tips without sauce and have a bold meaty taste. The sauce should add to the taste experience. All I tasted was sauce. Wonder bread would be a better choice than having rolls. Peach cobbler was ok if you want quick peach cobbler craving satisfied. I collard greens were very good with a smoke turkey taste to it. Overall, I gave it 3 stars. Maybe they were having a off day before a holiday. The customer service was friendly and helpful for my first visit. The prices for the food were very reasonable. They gave a discount to veterans, police, and firefighters. Also, thier air conditioning just went out in the restaurant. So, that was why I did takeout. I noticed in a previous review thier air conditioner went out around the same time last summer. I would eat there again to get a better experience since there are very few good BBQ places in...
Read moreI've heard lots of good things about this place, so I was looking forward to getting the food. I should have tried one of the sandwiches because they looked delicious. I got a brisket plate. There was a LOT of fat on my pieces of meat. I know there should be fat for flavor, but my pieces were more fat than meat. I chose the chili beans as a side since they said the beans had ground chuck, tri tip, and brisket in them. If there was meat, I couldn't see it. Not much meat in my beans. The Mac n cheese was very good and flavorful. We ate there, and I swear I thought we were supposed to get a roll with our meal, but we did not. Maybe that was my fault, and I misread the menu. I can not say for sure. When we got our food, the server said he'd be back with the bbq sauce. We waited and finally went to the counter to ask for the sauce ourselves. I would not have minded, but our food was getting cold waiting for the sauce. All in all, I was...
