El Cochinito Contento — Restaurant in Fresno

I was there today with my mother to have lunch I ordered a carne asada burrito with Everything my mom ordered a fish By the way there is no price in the menu for the fish so we ordered it anyways. When I get my food I take three bites out of my burrito and I noticed that there was no meat in it So I politely got up and I told the waitress That they forgot to put meat in my burrito it was just vegetables she took the burrito back I was expecting a whole different burrito but no they open the same burrito put the meat in there and wrapped it again even though I had a took a few bites that’s so wrong in every way There’s no justification for that whatsoever .Not only that I was very disappointed for the pricing they had on the food Turns out that The fish that didn’t have a price on the menu was $28 I’m sorry but I’ve been to many places including San Pedro beach and a fish is not $28 over there I been to plenty of restaurants here in Fresno I’ve never seen a fish cost more that 20 at The Mexican restaurant. The waitress was very nice I have nothing bad to say about her service now whoever was in charge of making my food I have no business working at a restaurant whether you’re the owner or the worker. I will never go back...

Don’t let the 3 stars fool you, not many of my reviews get 5 stars. This place has a very authentic Mexican vibe. It’’s somewhat dimly lit in the evening but that only adds to the ambiance. Nice waitress and prompt service. You can’t get a margarita (except a bottled wine one that’s around 5% ABV) so if that’s a must with your meal this place is not for you. I can’t recall anything exceptional about their chips and salsa. I ordered the usual: Chile relleno and decided to give their carnitas enchilada a try. The Chile relleno had really great flavors (nice fresh poblano chile) but I think it was a bit undercooked, as the cheese was not fully melted; nevertheless a decent chile relleno. I was so disappointed, i ordered a phone order i paid 39 dollars for nothing. They didn't let me know they're running out of refried beans when i got my bean burritos it looked like taco bells so empty and small full of cheese only I'm pregnant when i crave a good bean and cheese burrito i go here not any more GO To DON SALSAS DOWN THE STREET YOU GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH AND NOT DISAPPOINTED. i also ordered a quessadea for my daughter i paid 9 something for 4 little pieces of tortilla and cheese. I will not be returning you guys should get it togther and let people know that order around 630 you guys are running out of product so paying customers don't get this ridiculous food you presented me i knew i should of checked my food before i left i would of asked for a refund right there...
