Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Fresno

Im Giving an overall two star review due to the decline in quality of service . Unfortunately we decided to come here for dinner with 5 people. For a friday it wasnt that much of a wait and they were able to sit us at an outside table in under 30 min which was nice. We were sat outside and it was a fairly nice day. The server introduced himself and was mostly nice. We had ordered drinks and appetizers. I noticed the glasses for water were covered in water spots. We waited for a small while for our drinks. Unfortunately we had to ask for sugar for one of our guests multiple times. When he arrived with our drinks he also took our order. We asked for sugar again at that time. We also had ordered alcoholic drinks with our regular which we were still waiting on. A few minutes passed and appetizers arrived, we asked the server that brought those if she could get us some sugar. The pitcher of sangria that we ordered arrived and unfortunately the glasses were dirty. They had specks of what looked like dried food all over the glasses they brought. we asked the server when he returned with our food if we could get new glasses. When he returned with new glasses he somewhat rudely explained to us that these glasses have water spots and aren't dirty. We in turn explained we don't mind water spots the other glasses had chunks of food on them. The sangria itself was pretty watered down. I dont recommend it unless you want a watery drink i suppose its refreshing. The cajun fries were good, i would recommend them. The candied bacon to me was good, however the others said it was too sweet. The ribs i was told were not good, to dry. I agreed, just from seeing them it didnt really have much meat on the bone. I ordered a burger which was mostly good a bit overcooked and surprisingly not much bacon on the bbq bacon burger. My partner ordered a steak with vegetables. the vegetables on that dish were dry and salty. The last entre was a salad, Her verdict was it had to many bites were bitter and mostly lettuce. Not enough toppings i believe. We received refills for our drinks , sodas and water. I did feel a bit rushed towards the end as our server started to come check in with us during our meals more often asking if we wanted dessert. which now makes sense as once we were done with our meals we were told by someone else they were taking over the previous servers tables. We ordered a dessert that had chocolate mousse in it. I would recommend it, it is more for one person in serving size. All in all, this is the fifth time ive been to this establishment and this was not the best service I've had here. The food was not as good as i remember, my guests were disappointed, the server was kind of rude with the glasses exchange, and the sangria pitcher was not worth it.

Last note For the outside seating. It was somewhat quieter outside however there was one dog with a leash that the owners neglected somewhat. The dog's leash was too long and he kept approaching the dogs that needed to pass through the aisle. I did see one dog react negatively and almost bite him. It was girls' day out this past Saturday! Celebrated my niece Mariah 28th Birthday weekend having brunch. It was my first time I've ever tried this place. My Mom & I were the first to show up in our group. I was greeted by the hostess I let her know we were with a group who had reservations. They would not seat us until half the group was present (which I did not like) so shortly after when our group finally got there then we were seated promptly. I absolutley loved the vibe & the food was on point!👌This is a dog friendly restaurant (hence the name) & there were some pups present having their meal as well & yes they were well behaved (never heard any of 'em bark or act out). All staff was SUPER friendly & helpful! Our waitress was pregnant (didnt get her name) & we had a large group she was so sweet & made everything perfect for us! So, thank you for making our Birthday girls day SPECIAL & us 1st timers visit even better loved the atmosphere here! 🐕🐾🐩

July 13, 2023 I took my boyfriend here to eat since he's never been. I had the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and OMG it was delish 😋 Recommend this place. Atmosphere is chill, and the service is always above and beyond.👌

So first our waitresses (we had two) Eva and Irene were absolutely wonderful! Second the manager (Jacob I believe) was very level headed and quick to figure out how to help us out in an extremely high volume no free tables time of night.

We had a party of 12 and showed up without a reservation (sorry! I was unaware that the party planner intended to do that!) there was almost a 3 hour wait time for a single table but they managed to sit us outside in under an hour! It was a tad cold but with the heaters and rain barriers it wasnt bad at all.

The food options consisted of what seemed like common meals with a very unique twist to each. Even each of the 4 sauces provided had something different about them. The place was cool!! Everything came out wonderful (I had the pot pie and it was amazing!) the waitresses were very relaxed given the sheer volume of activity the restaurant was experiencing at the time, very professional and kept us having a good time!

They each provided us with great suggestions for desserts and meals, the drinks didn't stop coming either which was great!

All in all I loved my experience here! We came in with a super difficult situation for the staff to handle and they handled it without missing a beat! Very well trained staff, very courteous and respectful, always somebody around for that quick "excuse me.." moment. They even sang us happy birthday two times for when we forgot a second person's birthday was the following day! So wonderful!
