Not bad not bad at all! Just goes to show you cannot judge a book by its cover just cuz it looks like a ghetto hole in the wall in the middle of nose is upward snooty snotty Yuppie Ville it's quite surprising! You think okay ghetto trendy but you walk in and it's more like absolutely plain and plain. No Frills no fancy curtains and decorations in Chinese lanterns everywhere in murals on the wall with crazy dragons or geisha girls or anything else it's just plain Jane like you would find in la some place. But as soon as you walk in the staff is very polite and courteous they're very friendly with smile on their face patient they are quick to respond you don't get charged by the ton but more by the flavor left on your palette. In other words quality over quantity, and because it is No Frills and bells and whistles it cuts their overhead way down and it's much cheaper to operate which means it's much easier to bring the consumer a much more acceptable reasonable and cheaper price to dine and enjoy! The atmospheres it's been pretty mellow it's a pretty chill spot lol I will say that it does kind of remind me of a Lethal Weapon movie or something it's that kind of chill its like I swear I'm waiting for police and Oriental Mafia to come busting out of the back blazing freaking guns and just going nuts at any time hahaha LOL but you know once again that kind of goes with the ghetto trendy exterior and just that's that type as if you look at one of those movies that's the type of environment it looks like it's just straight plain business on the outside but you never know what's on the inside but what's on the inside is really good food really good General Tso's excellent moo shu pork great peppered steak good hot and spicy beef good hot and spicy chicken good orange chicken well could use a little bit more orangie I guess maybe not with fried rice I don't like rice or so I always get the noodles and they're perfect they're like I don't know how to describe it but the perfect the vegetables are very good they're steamed they're crunchy and crispy everything's fresh the soups all of them are excellent but there spring rolls I don't know it's kind of the like they doubled or tripled up on the wrappers I think maybe something with the egg rolls and they don't have crab rangoons they just have some deep fried wontons with cream cheese instead but that's okay like I said very very very good food very huge portions very excellently priced and I'm a man that just likes to go around and eat! I like to read reviews of places and then I like to go and I like to check them out and I like to eat and I eat and I eat and no I'm not a fat man oh and no disrespect to oversized individuals. This is a place where I would feel comfortable sitting all day just you know eating off and on all day hanging out reading the newspaper watching the people you know one of those spots kind of like a old man and his coffee cup at a hole-in-the-wall diner that he has been going to for 30 years just goes and sits and drinks coffee all day this would be my spot for that. LMAO sorry about the encyclopedia that I've written I felt like it was worth raving about and I've been to a lot of Oriental restaurants and especially over in the orient yes it's kind of Americanized but it's not at the same time you're not going to find anything else like this anywhere else around Fresno that's for sure and probably not anywhere else except for higher-end maybe towards Hollywood or the bay something like that but I highly recommend it if you're you're not happy I'll say this leave a reply to me and I'll pay for your meal how's that within reason LOL. Y'all have a great day enjoy the food and remember be good to one another We're All in This...
Read moreOMG!!! Talk about delicious! I think I found a new favorite Chinese restaurant. In fact... No...I found a new restaurant! Omg first of all I would like to say this place is so cute inside. I love the chandeliers and cute seating inside. It's just really really comforting and relaxing. Also, the guy who served us was really friendly and helpful and was very accommodating towards everyone. He was going to people's tables checking to see if they needed refills or anything else. He was super kind. Now... The food... This is where we get to the good stuff.... Me and my bf came in here to grab some food to go. He got the general tso chicken with the pork chow mein and fried shrimp and I got the spicy orange chicken with pork chow mein. Omg. Now that is orange chicken. Omg so saucy... So delicious... And with a crispiness to it that was so delightful. The general Tso chicken was super delicious as well with peppers that gave it some kick and broccoli. It was so good. The chow mein was omg so delicious. And the fried shrimp is to die for. Everything tasted so wonderful. The chili sauce complimented the food so well and was super good. The only complaint I have is that their soda was a little on the flat side. But the food was so good ... That I really didn't care lol. Omg if you have the chance, you have to try this place. I know I'm going to be eating there a whole lot now that...

Ming’s Restaurant has been one of my all-time favorite spots in Fresno for over 15 years—and for good reason. Every time I return, I make sure to order their Chicken Chow Mein with pan-fried noodles, and it never disappoints. This dish is pure comfort: perfectly crisp noodles, tender chicken, and that unmistakable flavor that I simply cannot find anywhere else—not in Texas, not anywhere.
What makes Ming’s so special is the consistency. Year after year, the quality and taste remain just as I remember. There’s something about their take on Chinese food that sets it apart—it’s authentic, flavorful, and just hits differently in the best way possible.
I’m incredibly grateful that this gem is still in operation. In a world where great local restaurants sometimes fade away, Ming’s continues to hold strong. This place is a Fresno staple, and I truly hope it stays around for generations to come.
If you’re in town, don’t pass it up. Trust me—Ming’s is the kind of place that turns a simple meal into a...
