Nummy Yummy — Restaurant in Fresno

Nummy Yummy is an absolute gem! This Taiyaki dessert shop serves some of the best Taiyaki I have ever had. I lived in Japan for over two years, and this place transported me back to those delicious experiences.

The Taiyaki here is top-notch. It reminded me of the best ones I had in Japan. Crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Simply perfect.

Their soft serve ice cream is incredible. We tried the Ube and Coconut milk soft serve. WOW. Just WOW. The flavors were rich and delightful. It’s like having a festival in your mouth!

The staff at Nummy Yummy are friendly and efficient. They make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great experience. The ambiance of the shop is also charming.

If there’s one piece of advice I’d offer, it’s that they could use a bit more seating inside. The place is popular, and a few more seats would make it even better.

First time trying. I saw this place a few weeks ago passing by and didn't realize this was the same place at the mall that I've been meaning to try. Arrived about 30mins before they stopped serving. They were busy line was to the door and more people were coming in. The staff were so kind and very welcoming. It's a small place with 2 tables. Clean, simple but cute interior. They handled the busy rush so well. Didn't wait long. I ordered an ube soft serve with Nutella filling and chocolate drizzle with ube sticks. My husband ordered a strawberry ice cream with custard filling. The Taiyakis was made to order. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the flavor was good. The ube and the strawberry ice cream were delicious. The flavors were subtle but you could taste the flavor. We enjoyed our desserts. They were very generous with the strawberry scoops. Two days ago, I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Nummy Yummy in Fresno. While I was placing my order, the staff member taking it suddenly became visibly frustrated for no apparent reason. Without saying a word, she walked away and threw her notepad onto the prep station. I was left standing there, completely stunned by what just happened.

After waiting for about a minute, another staff member came out. I asked her what was going on and why the previous employee had acted that way. She apologized and said, “I don’t know, it’s not you.” While I appreciated the apology, the whole situation left me baffled.

I’ve never experienced anything like this at Nummy Yummy or anywhere else. Their filled taiyaki is great, and the ice cream is decent, but this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. That employee should not be working in...
