Honestly, the service was Freaken amazing! 👏 lots of help since I have a 1 year old that makes a mess. The waiter was verry nice and helpful as well, shoot. I'll just come back for the service alone.
The atmosphere is a bit misleading because it used to be a Boba hangout spot, and it still sorta gives off that vibe, but it has a vietmese style of a pho restaurant. I still enjoyed it. Also, the robot 🤖 that brings us food is most definitely amazing! For sure, I'm going to make a video of it and post it up as a reel for views for the restaurant.
Okay, time for the food part. We ordered the beef pho (the biggest one they had). btw it was pretty big, not gigantic, but it was a good size for a hungry person who eats a lot. Comes with lots of beef and also a beef rib with some meat on it, and I love the new style. Also, the broth was on the better side of pho that I love. For sure, the pho was cooked for quite some time, then served. NOT like some other places where they just refill the pho broth with water and serve it.
Eggrolls were decent, nothing fancy, not super crunchy and / or crispy, just eggrolls.
The rice plate was probably the more disappointing out of all the food we ordered. The presentation looks great and the smell was great as well. But the taste of the short ribs were a bit too ashy, like they were next to the charcoal and caught a bit of the ash and made it taste a bit funny... other than that, I wish they also sold the deep-fried pork belly. ( fyi if they did and I didn't see it, I apologize)
Last but not least was the vietmese sandwich. It was right in all the right places. Has a nice good crunch to the crust of the bread, which is a must. The meat with the veggies that compliment it was perfect, the only thing I believe we didn't get was the jalapeño that sometimes they put into the sandwich for that extra kick. That's it. Overall we will come back for food, my family enjoyed it and will come back for more and can't wait to try more on the...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this location. We used to be regulars here. Because of the delicious food and great service, we were able to ignore the filthy bathroom that didn't have a sink inside, the disgusting floors, the cheap plastic furniture, the bright white lights, and super loud music early in the morning. Even though we preferred the old school Asian, dark, moody, and dingy vibe of the Fresno location which makes me miss my childhood in a third world nation this Cedar location is much closer to home. The decline was not gradual. We came in one day and it felt as though we were in a totally different restaurant. Most of the servers were new, clueless, and not friendly. Next the veggies were old and not fresh. The last straw was when we ordered bone marrow. We've ordered it over 20x here and it was always fresh and delicious. This time it was almost black and hard. I thought maybe they decided to broil it? But then the sour odor of meat hit me. I couldn't believe they would serve to us. We sent it back. A guy there talked to our waitress. She then came back to tell us that they can remake it. So I guess they had the option of serving unspoiled marrow. That was our last time...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place since I live across the stress and frequent this shopping center a few times a week for groceries, pharmacy, etc. I just got back from getting my to go order, which I had to wait almost 45 minutes for. I came in and was not greeted. I ordered 2 grilled pork sandwiches with no jalapenos to go. The guy said they have a 10% discount for the grand opening but never gave me the 10% off (why even tell me if you weren't going to apply it to my order). I sat there patiently and asked twice about my order at 15 minutes, then 20 minutes. The guy checked and said my order was never put in & he would put on rush on it. I waited another 15 minutes and got my order & confirmed with the girl that there were no jalapenos. No one ever apologized for the wait & inconvience. I got home and there were 7 slices of jalapenos in my sandwich. The bread was hard, neither the meat or bread was warmed. The bread was sour (maybe old or maybe sourdough bread?). I can honestly say this was the worst vietnamese sandwich I have ever had. I don't mind waiting for good food but this was not good at all. This was a terrible experience overall and I will...
