I came in on Tuesday; Oct. 8, 2024 at first service was not so bad after once I had gotten my sandwiches. So the sandwiches use to be so good. I’ve come here since I was younger growing up & now that I’m older I still come once in awhile. After this day I will not be back thank you to Maddie, her wonderful customer service. She made a comment to another employee just because I asked for extra lettuce. First off I paid for the extra lettuce. Maddie checked me out but the other lady who was nice enough to get the side of lettuce had been polite. Maddie made a facial expression saying how I wanted a refund just because the sandwich didn’t have extra lettuce. I confronted Maddie mentioning how rude it is to speak about a customer right in front of the person. Well thankfully the other employee again apologizing for the inconvenience. I apologize but the sandwiches are just not the same as from when I grew up & now. The lettuce as well is not shredded anymore it’s just chopped up.

First time visiting Piemonte's Italian Delicatessen. It's kind of hidden on the block but definitely worth exploring to find them. This is one of the few remaining deli counters in Fresno with "real" deli meats and cheeses. 20+ types of cheese, and more types of meat. Domestic and imported varieties. It was hard to choose a sandwich as they have so many to choose. Decided on the cold pastrami. I was not disappointed!! The meat ans cheese were cut fresh. The flavor was superb. Fresh lettuce, tomato too. Pickled wax peppers finish it off for a delicious flavor enhancement. The French roll was fresh and delightful. I will be returning... must try the prosciutto next!!

Pretty decent Italian deli in Fresno....of all places. Ignore what's outside the storefront window and you'd think you're in a small neighborhood deli in Brooklyn or Da Bronx. Excellent meat case with a variety of salumi, including imported prosciutto. Good Italian cheeses, too. Housemade salads, fresh bread, and imported Italian specialties like tomatoes, olive oils, pastries. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
