Quesadilla Gorilla — Restaurant in Fresno

Ok so I had no idea this place existed. This company came down today to Addams Elementary to give free food. Give props for that but I had the most awful experience w a few gentlemen. We arrived 1/2 hour early & were in line in our cars. My aunt got down to ask exactly how the drill would go. There was a line for cars & a line for people that had got there walking. If we would’ve got the RIGHT INSTRUCTIONS we would’ve got down to get in line. Once we got to the front we were told there was a limit of 4 bags per car. We were 4 adults in truck picking up food for 4 individual families carpooling to the school. We were told to get off & get in walkers line. We did. After it’s our turn we were pulled to the side and in front of people told we should wait for others to get their food. WE WERE IN LINE!!! We were ridiculed in front of everybody making us look like we were in line for seconds after THEY told us to get off. The head person continued to point at us to stay out of the line & wait.Then started saying food was almost gone. So why not add these last minute “special” instructions on the flyer. There were people getting more than 4 I can say that. Oh & he had the audacity to call another gentleman over to talk to us in spanish. Helllooooo we speak English, thank you very much. So many people in line waiting for them to say, We can only give you 1 for each. SO STUPID, because they gave priority to the people in cars than the people that got there on foot. I visited Quesadilla Gorilla this past weekend with my family, and I was really excited to try it out after seeing the great atmosphere and aesthetic. The menu had a variety of interesting items, so I was eager to dig in. However, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.

When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, but we ended up waiting around for about 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us or take our order. While we did eventually get some attention, the service felt a bit slow and unengaged. When our food arrived, we took it outside to enjoy, hoping it would make up for the wait.

I tried the asada quesadilla, expecting flavorful, well-seasoned meat and a delicious combination of ingredients. Unfortunately, the quesadilla was disappointing. There was very little cheese, and it felt dry and lacking in flavor. The meat itself didn’t have the depth of seasoning I had hoped for, and overall, the dish didn’t live up to the hype I had been anticipating especially for the price.

Although I really wanted to love this place, the food and service didn’t quite match the high expectations I had. I’m hoping this was just an off day, and I’m willing to give it another try. Fingers crossed for a better...

Ordered double chicken and "Kong it", received neither. Spent $30 on a Quesadilla with a single portion of chicken in it. Told staff and the nice lady said we can remake it for you, but than the cook comes out and says that's what it's supposed to look like. The cook trumped the other staff with no apology. I've been coming to this location since the place opened, I live within walking distance. I've easily spent over $1000 on this one location. They have other cooks that are great and have made my customized order perfectly but this cook was not one of those. He was heartless and disrespectful. Real men admit to their mistakes. I'm admitting my mistake by continuing to order from this restaurant. It will never happen again. I'm going through a really hard time in my life right now, please be more kind to people you don't know, you don't know what they are going through in their personal lives. It would have taken ten minutes to redo my order. The restaurant was empty at the time. Instead they chose to disrespect a loyal long term customer. I'm done with this place.
