I really like Starbucks, so this is not necessarily complaint. It is more of a word of constructive criticism. The Cedar and Ashlan store generally has a long wait in the drive through, so I didn’t think anything of it a week or so ago when I sat in an unmoving line for 10 minutes. The person ordering in front of me stayed there for awhile and finally moved up. Then when it was my turn, I waited for awhile, until an employee came out with a sign and some tape and explained that the store’s hours had been modified. They had closed at 2:00. It was currently 2:30. He explained to me that there was a sign on the front door. While I did mention that when you drive around to the drive through, you really don’t see the front door closely enough to see a sign, I politely thanked him and went on my way.
I totally understand about the modified hours, and that’s not what bothers me. I do think there should have been some kind of notice at the entrance to the drive through line to let customers know not to drive in. Today I went to the drive through at the same store, thinking they closed at 2:00 so I had plenty of time. It was 12:00. When I got to the microphone to order there were three cars in front of me and at least one behind me. The worker politely and apologetically let me know that they had just closed at 12:00. The paper sign that was taped up by the microphone was being folded over by the wind and was unreadable. I politely suggested that in the future, when the store closes, someone should come out and put some cones or something to block people from entering.
Even at the grocery store, when a checkout lane is getting ready to close, they at least rope off the end of the line after the last person, and the people who were already waiting in that line are still served.
If the schedules are going to be changed this often, it would really be nice to be able to see at a glance whether the drive through is...
Read moreThis is my local Starbucks. I come here at all hours of the day and they’ve usually been great. At times drinks come out a bit wrong, such as missing vanilla in a vanilla late or something similar. These I can overlook because sometimes I come during very busy hours so I’m lucky to get a drink at all. Then there are the new hires who are still learning all the drinks, minor inconveniences that work themselves out so no need for added stress from us. One thing I don’t appreciate is rude behavior. I always come in with the best attitude I can muster up because our attitude affects their whole shift and I pretty much always get good attitude in return, however tonight I had the worst interaction ever. At about 8:20 pm I came in for some coffee and the lady at the register, lady with black glasses and tattoos spread throughout her arms, had the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered. From the beginning of the interaction she was rude and seemed inconvenienced by my arrival. I don’t expect to be treated as royalty but I do expect to be treated as a person and not an inconvenience. Initially I didn’t take offense because she could have been having a bad day or whatever but when I asked a simple question being, “Can I use my stars?” She responded with, “Okay, but you didn’t tell me you wanted to use them.” I mean she could have said “okay” and our transaction could have been over and I would have kept it pushing but she came back with another rude response. I will now rethink coming back to this Starbucks for my coffee this late in the day. No one deserves that treatment so maybe consider going somewhere else unless being treated terribly is...
Read moreThe best part about this Starbucks location is their manager Tanya and the girl with blue hair whose hair used to be pink. They are both really hardworking individuals, kindhearted, and efficient workers. The other workers tend to get too comfortable, chatty, and relaxed while forgetting that they have customers, guests, and regulars who really need them to pay attention to. Both the District Manager and Regional Manager need to come into this location and have a crash course on how to speak respectfully, kindly, and politely to their customers and guests. As the other workers only ever act right when their manager, Tanya, is working. Otherwise, they are chopping it up and giggling so loud that you can hear their bellies shake. Tanya is always there in the mornings, and she cares so deeply about her customers and guests, especially her regulars. The blue haired girl is so incredibly sweet and funny, and she is such an overall amazing worker. She's so quick and will have your drink ready to go in no time. Unfortunately, I can only give this location 3 stars for their service due to the other workers' inability to be consistent and efficient. They all need to start working together, taking their job more seriously, and not continuing to have customers, guests, and regulars wait aimlessly in line and in the drive-thru because their too busy having fun. People have schedules and deadlines to keep. They don't have time to wait around for their drinks and food. Because this isn't a Chuck-E-Cheese, it's a Starbucks. These other workers need to act more professional. I think some of these other workers at this location forget...
