Horrible establishment!! & Poor service I called over two weeks ago to make a reservation for my son's Undergraduate Graduation that was confirmed twice.
I called in the day before (today) to make changes to the reservation (I was expecting more people) and spoke with a young lady who couldn't find my reservation for some reason and was told to "hold".
A woman named Kathy (the owner) then answers the phone and tells me that my reservation has been cancelled. I asked her why, and she proceeds to tell me she tried to call me multiple times and I never answered. And due to me not answering my phone, she "assumed" I no longer wanted my reservation and cancelled it.
I told her I never received any calls. And come to find out, its because my number and name was inputed incorrectly. So not only was I upset because my reservation was cancelled with out any notice, but she tried to shift the blame on me, for "not answering" my phone when they in fact botched my number.
In addition to this, I was told theres nothing available for me, I met with a very rude attitude especially when told "im busy" as in too busy to continue with the conversation and never made any accommodations. Its really unfortunate, being that this would have been my second time dinning with them, but I guess if you have any plans on attending, quadruple check your reservation and call multiple times to ensure that you're...
Read moreOutdated restaurant decor, and lack of ambience. We were seated in the patio-esque dining room. They were playing elevator music and cheesy pop songs, while the main room had a live pianist. There were holes in the ceiling, exposed wires, and really outdated floral decor. The food was overpriced and I’m pretty sure they served previously frozen meat that was freezer burnt, because my double chop while cooked well outwardly was very dry, flavorless, and the composition of the meat was compromised : mealy and not glistening. My husband’s filet mignon was also mealy, dry, and they overcooked it. The mashed potatoes were under seasoned, and tasted stale. The plating was really outdated with tacky garnish. The wine glasses were dusty and they put a rose held onto the rim of my drink by a tiny clothespin! What???? And when I was asked if I wanted fresh ground pepper for my salad they brought me an OXO salt and pepper grinder and walked off. Look, I’m not a snob but I have been to many fine dining restaurants and this was a very far cry from fine dining. I know freezer burnt meat when I see it, and I throw it out if that happens at home. I cannot fathom serving it to my family yet alone charging customers! Save your money. Go Yosemite Ranch, or Prime 13, or anywhere else. The Palms is...
Read moreMy family and I recently visited this establishment for a celebration. With reservations made well in advance with notice of two birthdays celebrations for this evening. We were immediately escorted to our table upon arrival. Our table was beautifully set. Our first round of drinks were properly served. Our server while trying to be attentive not able to do so due. to what looked like to us - short-staffed. Clearly there where other celebrations going on on the patio and in the private dining area. We were not in the private dining area. Our server seem to be running around quite a bit. Our table of seven certainly lacked much attention that it should've received at establishment such as this. Crusted salmon was average. The Porkchop was delicious, ribeye bone steaks were a little bit less than average. We were hoping for an outstanding dinner along service. Which could not be further from the truth. While the hostess did come by and ask how things were in passing . ?!?This is a celebration of birthdays. No complaints from our table. We're not going to complain while trying to have a nice time. Anyway, I hope readers understand that it is wonderfully decorated. And probably has better service than what we received. We are giving 2stars.. thank you for reading...
