I had no idea I would be leaving this review. But I need to highlight something very important about business these days. I Inadvertently came to the Manvel location because that was the closest to my house. But unaware that I had placed the order at the Location on Broadway. When I came into the store. I got looks from the employees, but no one said anything to me. I waited at the counter for about 5 minutes before someone came up to ask me if I was for there for a to go order. I informed her that I had placed an online order. she never asked for my name. She looked around, saw that there were no bags for online orders, I guess, and told me. It'll be a few minutes. I waited for about 10 minutes/15 minutes and I noticed what seemed to be the manager. She only spoke to only a select people coming in and out, by name. She would say good morning or thank you to people that she knew the names of. I know this because I looked her in her face and she never even said hello to me. Even though that was my first interaction with her. I'm not a stickler for people saying good morning to me. But I'm highlighting the fact that after I realize I ordered at the wrong location, I went to their sister location and got a VERY DIFFERENT experience. The Location on Broadway in Pearland surprised me. I immediately went into the store. I got hello and good morning from almost every employee at the store. it was way more inviting than the location in Manvel. This wouldn't have been the only issue for me. After sitting and waiting for about 10/ 15 minutes at the Manvel location i asked the front counter employer about my order. I told her I received a notification saying the order was ready. She immediately went on to make excuses as to how they had no control over THEIR website. According to her, they can't determine how busy they'll be. (Mind you the store was not busy.) But the fact is there was nothing but excuses and no resolution. Now get this, she still didn't know MY NAME! So after i prompted her to look for my order, I realized I was at the wrong store. But why wouldn't she ask for my name up front. Well maybe because they seemingly had 4 other online orders they hadn't gotten to. 🤔
Again, this entire review is the highlight the stark difference in quality of service between the 2 stores. And my food from store #2002 was amazing! If I had actually purchased food from the Manvel store, the bad customer experience alone would have trumped everything. DO BETTER! Some people still believe in good...
Read moreMy family I visited this establishment on Friday. The wait was not caused for because it was not that busy. This business has no team effort, people skills or drive. If this business worked as a team, the tables would have been cleaned soon as customers left. There should have been no reason several tables were dirty with a line waiting to be seated. If employees have time to kiki with one another, they have time to clean and do their jobs.
As far as the food, it was beyond cold and took forever to be brought to the table. There’s no reason we should have sent food back to be remade and still have to wait a long period of time for it to be brought back again. At that point, cancel the order.
Now, the customer service at this place sucks!! Simone wasn’t our waitress but to work in customer services and have a piss poor attitude, she might want to consider a call center job or finding something without human interaction. We had several issues and regardless of how “busy” someone is that still doesn’t give you the right to “sho” (hand gesture) a customer issues away. We are paying customers and if you don’t know how to maintain your attitude working in a fast-pace environment, please go somewhere else. Ariana was our waitress and Simone talked bad about her as if she wasn’t standing next to her. There is a such thing as disrespect and constructive criticism. Simone being a grown adult should have guided Ariana as she seemed new instead she chose to be catty in Ariana’s face. Again, if you’re a leader and that how you’re going about it please find...
Read moreI eat here occasionally and have always enjoyed it. This post is on Nextdoor website and it disturbed me “ Is it just me or has anyone else had bad service at Waffle House (WH) on Magnolia Parkway? Went this morning around 9:50 am. There was one couple waiting and so we sat down to wait then more people started coming in. There was no one taking names or managing the flow. Finally a table opened up and we sat down even though the table had not been cleaned. We sat there for about 5 min a waitress came over picked up dishes and did not even speak or bring rag to wipe off table. Prior to sitting down someone there was throwing dishes in the dirty bin making loud noises. While I was looking her way she gave me a dirty look and threw dishes in the bin. No one seemed to be interested in helping her the atmosphere was terrible. I am retired RN so I know what it means to work as a team and that was clearly missing at this WH. I grew up in Alabama with Waffle House and Krispy Kreme. This was worst experience I have ever had at a WH in my whole life. After waiting another 10 minutes of no service and no offer from anyone else to wipe table or get drink order we left and went to the other WH 7500 block of Broadway where the atmosphere was friendly and you could tell this group worked as a team. Vivian waited on us, she was warm, friendly and engaging. Not sure who is managing Magnolia parkway. This was my 2nd trip since it opened first trip was okay but after today they won’t get anymore of my hard earned money I’ll drive little further to...
