It’s great to shop at a store where the owner is so passionate about the hobby / sport. The owner and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The store is very well stocked with kits ranging in price from entry level to very high-end. Parts and accessories are also very well stocked.

Pricing is extremely competitive with Amazon and other online retailers. The difference is that you have people here who are very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

The only thing to be careful of is the fact that you have all these amazing kits all around you and it’s easy to go over your initial budget! Nobody will push you into a purchase though.

In my case, I bought a BNF kit that I thought would work well with my existing transmitter. It didn’t. Rather than try to sell me an expensive transmitter (no room in budget), the owner took the time and effort to contact friends to see if they had an extra they’d like to sell. Just had my 1st experience with Cary and Performance RC. Cary is super knowledgeable and a great guy. I went in with a meager budget and Cary showed me some great models. Ended up getting a Arrma 4x4 truck he had on sale with the ability to upgrade.

I liked most that he didn't talk to me like I was an idiot for not knowing much about RC. He didn't try to talk me into a bunch of upgrades either. Instead, he explained the upgrades, explained all the different battery sizes and how the perform, and then let me walk around and make my own decisions.

Walked into this store for the first time and I like how I was able yo browse peacefully, the staff was very helpful and I was treated with professionalism, they had a large selection available although being closer to Black Friday I came home with a brand new traxxas Xmas that I been trying to get my hands on for the past couple years and Performance RC Hobby made it happen.
