Paying with ApplePay ? Please Beware ! Potential Drive through Scam by particular worker !!! This one particular staff has done this before & I had totally forgot. So if you use Apple Pay (drive thru) be on alert , they use a tap machine & the first question on the machine usually asks if you want to tip, & have the option to say āNoā or chose an amount , THEN youād tap to pay. My Medium Carmel High Rise is usually $6.47, & when i approached the window it suddenly changes to $8.47, the person did not present me with the tap machine tip options , instead it provided me with only one option on the screen & that was to pay. When I asked why it was $8. instead of $6. I was told āI donāt know, I donāt keep up with the pricesā!??! This person was extremely annoyed & rude for no good reason, Red Flag š© So After requesting and speaking with a manager, it was discovered that there was a tip that I applied to the order (which I didnāt), & she offered to reverse the charge but I said no itās ok, but on my way home I remembered this same person doing this to me before at this same location in the drive thru window because this person was very rude at THAT time as well when I questioned the upcharge , & that particular time I drove off and didn't say anything, I feel like this is a secret ongoing scam for this person, so that made me feel that I needed to report it this time & alert others on this potential scam. I called & spoke with a different manager who was very nice & genuinely concerned about this matter so I appreciate how this was handled by both managers. I do a mobile order, I drove to the location and theres one person in front of me. Drive thru has been very slow as of late. Like if you go through the drive thru expect a wait... but I watched them hand the person in front my drink... which is okay I guess, thats not the part Im mad about. I know mistakes can happen. I pull up and thats when they realized that they handed the wrong person the wrong drink so they explain theyre remaking it for me. They made me the wrong drink. I wanted a frozen matcha with extra bubbles and I got a normal matcha with what seems to be the normal amount of bubbles... I paid extra to have extra. I paid extra to have a frozen drink. Its disappointing having to wait a long period of time just to be handed what you didnt ask for. The customer service is off too. I donāt order difficult beverages, but Iāve gotten iced beverages when I asked for it hot, wrong sizes rang up, etc. Today I went in and asked for a decaf hot crafted press, but was informed they canāt make it decaf because the mix is pre-made. I know thatās the case for coolers, but I explained that a crafted press could simply be made with decaf cold press + the added things (cream, salt sugar, and flavor). They didnāt get it. SO I asked what else she could make me that is decaf; I ordered a decaf latte. Was given an ICED latte, and Iām fairly certain it wasnāt decaf because I was jittery afterwards (dangerous mistake to make if customers have health conditions, which thankfully I donāt).
