Although the xenophobic remark was not directed at me personally, it was shouted openly in a shared space by an employee, creating a hostile and uncomfortable environment. On 07/28/2025, at approximately 1300-1330 at 106 N Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546. During my visit, an employee loudly stated, "This is America, speak English." This comment was xenophobic, discriminatory, and offensive, rearing a hostile and unwelcoming environment. Although this comment was not directed at me, and it was to another customer, this kind of language is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the inclusivity and professionalism expected at Whataburger. What is troubling is that the manager on shift, identified as "Tatiana" was wearing a black jacket at the time witnessed the incident and did not intervene, correct the behavior, or addressed the employees actions in any visible way. Her lack of response only reinforced the idea that such remarks are acceptable within Whataburger workplace culture which is extremely disappointing for a company of your scale and reach. (Employees involved Kyah, Tatiana, and surrounding employees) As a long-time customer, I was shocked and disheartened by the experience. I am reaching out in hopes that your team takes this matter seriously, investigates it thoroughly, and implements corrective action if necessary. Language-based discrimination or harassment should never be tolerated in a public-facing business, especially one that prides itself on serving diverse communities. I am asking that this matter be taken seriously. A formal investigation into this incident, employees and mangers involved be held appropriately accountable, and that your team reinforces training related to anti discrimination, customer respect, and inclusivity. This said always remember that " you are free to choose but you are not free from the consequences of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDISCLAIMER: THIS IS FOR ALL DELIVERY SERVICES This location is the worst to pickup orders from. They never have the order ready and they are very rude. I deliver for two apps and I've been sent here to pickup an order for a customer.
Upon entering, I was never greeted nor acknowledged. They took the orders of two guests who walked in after me before they even spoke to me. And when I tried to talk to Joyce or the other black lady (she didn't have a name tag on) they both told me that couldn't help me, I'm helping other people. Oh, right the other people that came in after me, the ones behind me. They told me to go to the side and wait. I couldn't even tell them the name of the order I was waiting on.
Like if that's the case, please remove your signage that says, "Whataburger Pickup" near the drink station. Other times in the past, when it was just Joyce working there and a special needs worker they helped me right away. But now, I don't ever see the special needs worker and they have become a lot rude to me. Hello? I'm doing a service to your company and for the customer. They don't see that. They will never have the customer order ready, no matter if it was placed earlier; they will forget to do it until you arrive. They will mess up on the order, please make sure it's correct before you leave.
I know we cannot stop orders from going to this location. But be mindful and aware they do do this stated and they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never write reviews. I've lived and dined around the country. I've ordered from my fair share of drive thrus. This location is the single most terrible establishment of a "fast food" restaurant I've ever experienced, anywhere. The only consistent thing about this place is giving the wrong order (after you've appropriately paid for what you requested and was confirmed) and grossly excessive wait times (20 - 30 minutes). I can only justify my critisism with the fact that I've worked in the service industry for over 15 years. My guests, that come into my place of employment can sit down, order drinks and get a well cooked steak with all the sides to their table faster than the Whatabuger in Friendswood can achieve on a regular basis. I'm never coming back and recommend that anyone is better off driving to the El Dorado location. You'll save yourself time, frustration and actually enjoy the meal that isn't cold when...
