I really wanted to like this please based on prices and reviews. Well you get what you pay for and I am starting to learn that when it comes to Asian cuisine I should not listen to reviews. Because one they’re typically left by Americans with no taste for Asian and lack of taste buds. In Texas so many unhealthy people and over weight they will eat anything that is cheap.
I gave this pace 2 tries. The vermicelli bowl was ok but the eggroll is not good too much salt and black pepper and was there even any mung bean noodle in there? Iced coffee taste off, like powered even they say they do not use that. It just didn’t taste right. The pho broth was so bad, bland and couldn’t be saved with condiments. No meat, hence the cheap price. The spring roll is so American. No cilantro no bean sprout no MINT!!! No Asian herbs at all. Could have left out the carrot and cucumber and not enough noodle/meat and way too much lettuce. And the sauce WAY too much sugar and not and authentic flavor.
I really had high hopes for a small mom and pop. I think the banh mi may have been good but not going to return to try. Even if it’s $6. It’s fairly small I doubt they use a good quality bread.
I plan to try all the pho places regardless of rating. So far Yummy in the baybrook mall is the best even if it’s a bit pricey I would go there instead. The response is so condescending. I need to constantly repeat my name I know what it is. Clearly after reading the reviews you have done. Thing to change the recipe and have always had bad PHO. If you were so open to constructive criticism and willing to adjust. You pho would not be the same no flavor water. Don’t kill people with kindness. It’s not tactful. Just truly do better. And maybe go try YUMMY and see were you can...
Read moreI have been all over the world; Vietnam, China, Philippines,Europe, and Northern Africa. This is the best pho place in houston, and the world!!! And i should know. Im a huge foodie. The best time is around 4 o’clock other wise the flavor may vary from not enough flavor or to much. But either way. Its the best pho in the world no matter what time you may choose to indulge. You can taste the love in the flavor. I always feel bad when im too full to finish it. We get the tea, and this place always steeps the tea just right :) we love our tea and its always sad when its over steeped. But not here!!! Jasmine is my fav! With or with out milk. True tea canuesiors don't need sugar. So if its not sweet enough for you, just add more sugar because i promise you iced jasmine tea is hard to pull off and pho and more pulls it off perfectly subtly sweet without sugar is exactly how its suppose to taste. :)) i wish they would share there tea with me but then I'm afraid i wouldn't come back for more. Highly recommend for true foodies and...
Read moreI was very happy with my meal here. I came for dine in at 11am and it was not busy, so I was seated right away. The decor is minimalist, and the music was soft piano, making for a relaxing lunch break. The staff were all incredibly nice.
I ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls which were delicious. I am not usually one to wrap the egg roll with the lettuce and other sides, but they served it with lettuce wrap, carrot, and cucumber, which made an excellent combination.
For the main dish, I ordered the #11 (Rare steak and well done brisket). The regular size was more than enough for me, as the bowl was packed with noodles. The broth had a mild but pleasant flavor.
Overall I was happy with my experience and...
