Super excited that Burning Rice has finally arrived in McKinney! We’ve been fans of the Frisco location for years, so having one closer to home is a game-changer. The new spot is a perfect fit—clean, inviting, and streamlined with a simplified menu and an easy-to-use kiosk for ordering. We opted for the Regular Bowl Abundant Deal, which comes with miso soup, two dumplings, and your choice of bowl. I went with the tofu, while my husband got the spicy bulgogi bowl—both were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights is their sauce station, featuring four options: house-made soy, sweet BBQ, sesame, and my personal favorite, the spicy gochujang. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, ready to assist anyone who needed a hand with the kiosk system. The only thing I miss? The salad with ginger dressing that the Frisco location had pre-COVID. I’d love to see that make a comeback! Overall, we’re thrilled to have this in McKinney and will definitely be making it a regular go-to spot.

We had a great experience here! We have been long-time goers of the Burning Rice franchise, but this new location exceeded expectations! The staff were friendly, the food looked amazing, and everything was kept very clean and organized. The takeout containers are adorable (we ordered takeout but ended up sitting down to eat). The rice portions were a bit small for my husband's liking, but for me, it was the perfect amount. We went later in the evening, close to closing time, and even though we ended up being the last ones in the restaurant we didn't feel pressured to finish faster or anything, the staff were patient and polite as we finished our meal. I will definitely be a regular around here!

Burning Rice – A Sizzling New Spot at 121 & Custer Tried the new Burning Rice location off 121 and Custer, and it did not disappoint! Ordered the hot stone bowl with bulgogi, vegetables, and egg, and it came out perfectly hot—staying warm throughout the meal. The signature sauce complemented the dish beautifully, adding just the right amount of flavor. Overall, a great experience with quality ingredients and a well-executed dish. Definitely worth a visit for anyone craving a solid Korean rice bowl!

Our family had made note of the new location for one of our usual spots for casual dining and decided to stop by last Saturday. We were a bit confused walking in since there was a banner outside which said "Opening Soon" and there were guests sitting inside and the restaurant seemed to be buzzing. Walked in and headed straight to the tablets to order our food. This is when the owner walked over and apprised us of the fact that it was a day when they had opened for Friends and Family. We were immediately told that we are welcome to dine in and insisted on having a courtesy meal. The only request was to spread the order since most people had ordered bowls and this was not getting the kitchen to work on other dishes. We ended up ordering a barbeque chicken bowl, chicken sliders, another chicken starter and khimchi pan cake. The chicken starter was the best (forget the name!!). We did see some areas for improvement (minor ones) which we promptly wrote down in the feedback form. Tipped the staff generously and left - we will be back soon since Burning Rice is a place we love. The owner's gesture did leave a big impact on us - he had the option to politely decline and we would have been fine but welcoming us in does talk of the customer service mindset of the franchise owner. Augurs well, it is a great location and with a big population of Indian and Asian families in the residential communities nearby - hope to see a thriving business for the new outlet, we will be at our favorite place with a 5 minute...

I’m gong to start this off with I very much enjoy this businesses food and usually the service and wait times aren’t that bad. I’ve also worked a year in back of house and 3 in front of house as a server and bartender, so I don’t often leaves bad reviews but this was bad. When we got there, there were 2 groups of 6 that were ordering as well, that were a dine-in parties, while we were ordering take out. One got their order in before us, we finished ours, and then the other group finished about 10 minutes after us. We then sit there for 50 minutes and watch the second group get their ENTIRE order before us. I fully understand how, a proportionally, big table can mess up an operation, we got 30+ tops where I worked all the time. However, berth the front of house or back of house was moving was moving quickly. In all, making a 2 top wait 50 minutes when their food would take SIGNIFICANTLY less time is...
