ALWAYS check your online orders when you pick up. Love the food at CAVA, but the service in this location is awful. I've had a couple of bad experiences where portion sizes are to small or they put the wrong dressing. I usually let it go, but this recent time was too much and I won't be going back anymore. I was craving their corn so I decided to order for dinner. Go to the app and website and the option is unavailable. Guessing they were out. That's fine, I ordered anyway. Went to go pick up my order by drive-thru and there was already a car in front of me at the window. 10 minutes go by and no movement. The guy in front has to get out of his car and knock on the window to get someone's attention. He gets his order and then I get mine after. I go home and start prepping my own corn to put in the bowl since they didn't have any. I take out the bowl out of the bag and notice it's looking a little...empty. I open it it and poke around and they DIDN'T PUT ANY MEAT ON THERE. What?! How do you forget that? It was literally rice, lettuce and chips. There was sauce on there, but barely. I knew I was done with them at that point and wanted a refund. Didn't know if they would be able to do that over phone or if I contacted them through email. With how bad the service is, I assumed I wasn't going to get a refund. So, I drove ALL the way back to the location. Waited in line to get seen. Arrived at the front of the line and told them there was no meat on my order and provided my receipt. The employee looks at my order and does notice there is no meat. The employee was nice and offered to put the meat I wanted on the side. As I left, saw that there actually was corn. Smh. -_- I go home to see how much meat the guy put in the bag and it looked like there was barely anything in the container. Filled up maybe 1/3 of the soup container he put it in. I combine the meat with rest of the food, and yup, there is barely any meat on there. It's been real CAVA. Memorable (not in a good way), and I won't be back.

Visited the restaurant on Eldorado in Frisco for the first time and was greeted by Alex. Alex was very friendly and gave me great recommendations. What stood out to me the most is his respect for my plant based lifestyle. Without asking, Alex changed his gloves after handling food that was not in accordance with my lifestyle. I noticed and acknowledged him instantly for respecting my concern for cross contamination. And the food? Delicious! Seriously! I’d post a photo of my meal but all I have is an empty bowl. Should you visit, try the cucumber mint drink. So refreshing. I’ll definitely be back. Shout out to Alex for looking out. He’s one of the reasons, I’ll continue to dine here.

Although the food taste good, the service level is well below expectations. When ordering ahead, they are not able to meet the time they promised to have the food ready by. This is not a one time situation, it’s a constant issue. Staff quit because they are overwhelmed with unrealistic expectations from management for food readiness promises made on their behalf. Also, sometimes it’s faster to order in the line than online. Very disappointed. Here is picture of a common scenario where people are waiting for their food 30-60 minutes even though they ordered ahead.

I rarely post reviews, but as this is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve had an issue with this location, I thought it was worth a rating as this seems to be a trend now. We ordered online for a pick-up this evening. The order was to be ready at 5:45. I arrived at 5:45 and was 2nd of two vehicles in line at that time. We waited until 6:00 (15 mins past our quoted time) before we made it to the window. No big deal, I assumed the vehicle in front of us had a complicated order or something like that. The window opened to an employee asking for the name on the order. I gave the name and they walked away. About 7 minutes later, another employee asked for the name on the order. About 5 minutes later, another employee asked for the name on the order. By this time, I had been at the window at least 15 minutes and had 3 separate employees acknowledge me, but nothing was happening. Then another 7 minutes or so went by when the window opened again. The woman (later found out she was the manager) again asked for the name on the order and I was dumbfounded by this point. She was able to find my order and said “we’ll have that right out”. About 10 minutes later, the window finally opens and she has my order. I asked if she was the shift manager and she acknowledged that she was. I then informed her that we are now 45 minutes past my quoted time and I was shocked that 4 employees had asked for the name before anyone did anything. She gave me a simple, “we’re severely understaffed” and apologized for the inconvenience. Mind you, again, 4 people had the time to man the window, but nobody seemed to actually be making food. Also, we had 1 bowl and one pita in our order (both of which were missing items we ordered and my wife’s 2 falafel bites were hard as rocks). That’s it. I accepted her answer as it was clear that she believed this was sufficient. We live locally and have been to this location many times. Ordering online and waiting an extended amount of time only to receive food that wasn’t correct is honestly a trend now. If you don’t have enough people to work your location, maybe manage your online order traffic flow better or at least the time expectations. I understand being short-handed, but that is also not my fault when I was told one thing and clearly they couldn’t meet their own commitments. The food at Cava is typically fantastic, so please do a better job managing this store so we can enjoy the experience. There is too much competition out there to allow this to go on. Maybe we’ll try again in the...

I will begin by saying that this concept and location had been a family favorite since it opened but after my experience last night I will not return to this location. The restaurant was filthy, the staff (4 people that I saw and made eye contact with) did not acknowledge me for 15 minutes although there was only one family ahead of me in line already being begrudgingly helped. I decided to wait to see how long it would take to be helped and see if there was a reasonable explanation for the lack of service and disgusting condition of the restaurant behind the counter and the restaurant overall. After waiting 15 minutes, the one employee that prepared the food and checked the family out before me let me know that they were out of product for my order. I commented to the mother in line ahead of me that I thought they closed at 10 pm (it was 9:20 pm) and she said they do but based on the appearance they had begun clean up before even they had arrived and did want to serve them. The manner in which their food was prepared was unbelievable; slapping things on, food everywhere. The busing cart was next to the food filled with dirty trays, etc. I spoke with the other family and the father stated that they would not return based on their experience as well. He apologized to me for my experience - another customer, not the staff. Management really needs to fix this situation; I don't know anyone that would feel comfortable eating anything prepared or handled in such a filthy, disorganized kitchen. The staff needs to be taught basic customer service including greeting and...
