During my recent visit to Pei Wei, I was genuinely impressed by the overall dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the vibrant and inviting atmosphere immediately set a positive tone for the evening. The restaurant's modern decor and clean, well-lit space created a comfortable environment that was both aesthetically pleasing and conducive to a pleasant dining experience.
The staff at Pei Wei were notably friendly and attentive. From the moment I entered, I felt welcomed, and the service throughout the evening was prompt and courteous. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring that my dining companions and I felt well taken care of.
One of the highlights of my experience was the extensive menu, which featured a diverse array of Asian-inspired dishes. The variety allowed everyone in my group to find something they enjoyed, from classic favorites to innovative new options. The commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish we ordered.
I opted for general tao chicken, and I was delighted with my choice. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, showcasing a mastery of Asian culinary techniques. The portion size was generous, providing excellent value for the price. Additionally, the presentation of the dishes was aesthetically pleasing, adding to the overall dining experience.
What impressed me most was the attention to detail in both the preparation of the food and the service provided. The kitchen's commitment to quality and consistency shone through in every bite, making it clear that Pei Wei takes pride in delivering a memorable dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Pei Wei exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts – from the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the attentive service and, of course, the delicious food. Read moreI came in August 23rd at 8:59pm.
This was my first time ever at a Pei Wei. I had saw it while passing on my motorcycle and it was my fault I didn’t search up what time they closed. I showed up at 8:59 and they closed at 9:00 they greeted me and served me with no problem.
I felt bad because I showed up literally a minute before close. They were very hospitable and polite. It wasn’t until I had sat down and ordered that I saw they were cleaning the restaurant and I apologized I came in so late to which they replied no worries!
I believe the manager even brought me my napkins and a fork to my table even though it was self serve.
My food came out quick, with a smile, and boy was it fresh and beyond neatly presented. Time, care, and effort clearly went into my order even 5 mins after they closed. It tasted great too.
I appreciate the team at this location and I will certainly be returning, obviously earlier than y’all close next time lol. Customer service like this is hard to come by and unfortunately goes unnoticed and unappreciated. To whichever corporate person at Pei Wei is reading this do not lose this...
Read moreIt had been about 8 years since we last had Pei Wei, so, knowing that they recently opened this store, we had to try it.
BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
My Pad Thai was dry and bland. Barely any sauce! Both noodles and chicken were overcooked, with the latter having the consistency of boiled, bouncy meat. I had to throw it out.
My wife's "drunken noodles" were a poor imitation of our favorite Thai dish. The "meat" was, basically, boiled fat, noodles were overcooked, the sauce barely spicy, all flavors flat. It was edible - let's leave it at that.
The only redeeming part of this bad experience was the hot/sour soup - deliciously spicy, deep flavors, tasty, well-cooked meat and tofu.
With so many amazing Thai and Chinese restaurants in McKinney, I can't think of any reason why we would come back here.
Whatever happened to Pei Wei? We used...
