Title: Walked In, Crawled Out Emotionally Scarred

Walked into this fast food joint and instantly regretted it. The air smelled like a mix of burnt grease and despair. Floor was sticky—like my shoes almost stayed behind with every step.

The line was short, but somehow it took 15 minutes to get to the counter. The cashier didn’t say hi, didn’t look up, just muttered “what do you want” like I ruined his day by existing.

I ordered a simple combo. She repeated it wrong twice, sighed dramatically, and then got it wrong anyway. Sat down at a table covered in dry ketchup crust and someone’s old napkin mountain.

When my food finally came, the burger was literally falling apart. Bun was crushed, lettuce looked like it had been through a storm, and the meat was half off the bun like it tried to escape. Fries? Cold and damp. Like someone steamed them with their breath.

In the middle of a busy Saturday we stopped in here to grab some lunch in between haircuts and back-to-school shopping. My husband and I both got a wrap, our oldest got some a tender basket, our younger son got a cheesy buns sandwich & we got an order of loaded tender fries to share. OMG the tenders are really big and crispy, and they have different levels of spice so someone like me (who has a horribly low tolerance for spicy) can still get something delicious that doesn't choke me up 🤩 and my husband can get as spicy as he wants- he ordered medium level and I did have a bite of it and it wasn't too hot for me (just the bite anyways) He may go a level up next time, but I'll stick with mild.
