Three things: 1) Barista wearing dark dress on duty today after 4 pm was EXCEPTIONALLY rude 2) store feels more cluttered recently. 3)The Tea has always been great!
I used to be a regular. I went in today to get a tea and forgot to mention I wanted a milk tea. After I saw the drink I very politely said "oh my bad I actually wanted a milk tea." The barista says "well I made it this way because she didn't say anything about milk tea! Do you want me to add milk?" and I just said "ok no problem yes that's fine." Her trainee walks in and she tells the trainee the same thing which I didn't think was necessary and made the trainee uncomfortable considering the barista adds milk to it herself. She then says shakes her head at me "Do you want whole milk?!" I couldn't hear her at first because of the store noise and asked "sorry? I couldn't hear you could you repeat that" she then aggressively shakes her head at me looking more annoyed asking the same question which I heard the second time and I said " yes whatever it comes with no problem". She had an unnecessarily abrasive attitude for such a simple mistake that I, the customer made, it was very unprofessional and was an unpleasant experience for me. At the counter, I could hear her talking to her trainee the same way, which is sad because the trainee was incredibly nice and efficient.
So I love this place, and I've avoided leaving any reviews that specifically addresses concerns for the storefront itself until now. Let me preface this by saying I used to be a regular in recent years and have recently seen changes in the store that seemed uncharacteristic of the original brand I remember, including increased monetization of promotional goods in the store. I love the Peace Love Boba Brand and have purchased a few items because it used to fit the minimalistic and fun aesthetic of the shop. Now there are other companies who are selling in the store including a claw machine. I love the aesthetic of a fun and young place to get tea but the minimalistic and exceptionally well kept aspect of the storefront is gone, everything is so cluttered. One day, the board game section was so poorly taken care I took it upon my self to clean it and return the game pieces to their proper boxes.
I return to this shop because the tea is so good, it's always been very good, however the barista I just had a negative experience with and the especially the clutter, keep me away.
Hopefully someone can get the environment of this tea bar...
Read moreI absolutely love this place! These days I don’t get boba very often, only because I am so busy with work and school, but today I happened to take a long lunch break and headed over since this is my favorite boba place up in the Frisco and Little Elm area.
Every time I walk in I am greeted warmly, and the staff is always all smiles and very helpful. One of the things I love about this place is that there is no computer screen in my face, forcing me to order without talking to somebody. I will literally walk out of any place that does not give you a face-to-face experience. This place is all about personal service and they are even willing to tailor drinks to make sure they fit what you are looking for. I have a dairy allergy, and their team was willing to mix and match ingredients to make a Matcha frappe that worked out for me. So delicious!
On top of their great customer service, this is always such a clean place. They keep it spotless, they have awesome games to play, and everything about it is inviting. Every time I go in, I always wish that I had more time to stay and hang out.
Additionally, their drinks are fantastic! They have the most options of any boba place in the area, and they definitely have the highest quality tea.
This is my go to place, and it should be yours,...
Read moreWithout a doubt, every time I come to this location, there is a problem. During my first visit, I ordered a chocolate milk tea with boba and instead of the Oolong tea (which the cashier told me came in the chocolate milk tea) I asked if I could substitute it with black tea.
The cashier (young woman with glasses) then said “It won’t be good with black tea.” After seeing the menu and drinks are customizable, I then said “I would like to try it anyways,” in which the cashier rolled her eyes and continued the order with an attitude.
After getting the drink (and ENJOYING IT, mind you), every time I go to the store, my drink is always messed up (multiple times, the tiramisu or sea foam was not added to the drink) or the store is out of something.
Upon walking into the store at 5:00 pm today, the same cashier mentioned above was working (young woman with glasses) and another customer ordered a Taro Milk Tea with Boba. I then proceed to the register and was told they are out of boba and it would be a 35 minute wait.
I’m not sure why every time I go to this location, there is an issue. The drinks are good and fresh, but the service at this establishment...
