Everyone who loves Arby's food knows it's the fast food chain with its s&%t the least together. We expect that every third or so visit, something will be way off with the experience. Usually it's just a super long wait.
But this location takes the cake. I was on track to be 45 min early for a date (bc I really liked this girl) when I decidedI was starving and that even Arby's couldn't screw up my timing if I grabbed something. I was almost wrong.
I waited in the not-many-cars drive-thru for almost half an hour. My order was simple: two roast beef sliders and two buffalo chicken sliders without ranch.
At around 28 minutes, I got my order. I had said three distinct times that I didn't want ranch on the sliders, and of course...
I ran inside with them and no sense of urgency to fix the mistake ensued. The replacements were ready and sitting there for 5 minutes before anybody handed them to me.
No "have a nice day" or "thank you", and certainly not an apology. They were actually annoyed at me for being picky (or whatever). Note I was 100% polite and patient.
I mean, you can hire people to work at your restaurant, but there's no guarantee they won't be the least motivated, rudest, and least competent people who ever made an effort to try to earn a living.
UPDATE 5/31/22: I can't reply to the reply Arby's made to my original review below, but beyond the actual restaurant workers themselves, the difference between good and bad management is that good management will own a problem with its business rather than putting it on the customers to do most of the legwork. If Arby's response to this review is to send me to an unknown link (presumably for a survey or contact form), rather than seeing it as sufficient to act upon on its own--the restaurant is never going to get better. If I were a regional manager and saw this review of one of my restaurants, there'd be a full stop and I'd immediately hold a branch meeting, followed by sending secret shoppers/customers through that drive-through 5x a day until the problems were...
Read moreUsed to get ham & swiss croissant and potato cakes every morning in Roanoke until they quit opening for breakfast. I had business in Front Royal thia AM and stopped in. FINALLY AN ARBY'S GETTING EVERYTHING RIGHT!!! Clean oil= perfectly deep fried potato cakes. I know that this isn't a deeply hidden mysterious truth but this is the FIRST Arby's that has discovered and evidently maintained the clean oil practice.
The croissant was to die for. Ok a little bit hyperbolic but this was the best one I have ever eaten at an Arby's. It was heated properly so that the ham was hot and the cheese melted. The croissant was FRESH. Soft and flaky. Again I know that this isn't a complex breakfast sandwich but this location is the first that I have EVER been to that I didn't have to request that they place it back in the microwave to heat it thoroughly.
This visit was a true joy! The staff was friendly with smiles that greeted us upon entry. I actually believe that not only were they happy to be working but were happy to have THIS job at this Arby's! The house was clean inside and out. The owner of this location and its management are to be commended. Arby's as a corporation should use this location as the model for all others at every level of service. PLEASE START WITH ROANOKE, VA BECAUSE THE ARBY'S HERE LOST THEIR WAY...
Read moreSo this particular Arby's it's a hit and miss sometimes their food is really really good and other times their food just downright stinks you take a bite out of it and you have to throw it away because it's just really nasty either the food has been over cooked or under cooked or has just been sitting out for way too long and should've just been thrown away. My husband and my son like it most of the time but it seems like anytime they end up liking it that's when my food is the nastiest. I normally order a chicken sandwichand for whatever reason the chicken sandwich is always the one that turns out the worst. I would write how often I get bad food from them it's probably 9 out of 10 so basically only one good experience for me had to go in there 10 times. The only reason why I keep going back to that Arby's is because of my husband and my son they normally get a roast beef sandwich and they're happy with it if it wasn't for them I would've stopped going to that place along time ago. And where device if you go there go more in the early evening never anytime like after 6:30 PM. Other than that the staff is friendly the restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. So overall it is nice just...
