The experience of the new location of Legends was an overall positive one for me and my family. Upon entering we were greeted and seated in no time at all. This place is just what you would expect out of a Bar and Grill. TV screens all over the place. For NFL Sundays they have every screen on with every game you would want to watch. But we weren’t here for the TVs and all the sports gear which is terrific in its own right. For we were there to try the food.
The menu is a mix of items, wings, pizza, chicken sandwiches, Rubens. They were very busy and that’s to be expected on an NFL Sunday. For the most part the waiters did great getting to the many tables they had. While the waiters looked to be putting in a ton of work they were professional and what you would come to expect of a restaurant with a good reputation.
My wife ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. My daughters ordered Mac and cheese along with chicken and fries and I am delighted to say they polished their plates cleaned.
By the way the Iced tea at this joint is among the best you’re gonna have in town hands down. My baby girls and entire table enjoyed the iced tea so if that’s your kind of thing you have to order the iced tea. I don’t know who’s churning up the tea but that joint was cracking. Thats a 10 out of 10 iced tea.
I ordered the Buffalo Wings with blue cheese. I must say they were delicious. They offer a dry and wet sauce. I opted for the wet sauce and it tasted good and the blue cheese was cold and refreshing. Upon biting into the wings I was greeted with a pleasant juicy bite.. sometimes you get them nasty wings that are hard not juicy, like the chicken had been dead for weeks.. nah.. not these wings. They were fresh, delicious and big. They don’t skimp you on the size of the wing and I was full off of 10 of them.
Our friends ordered a pepperoni pizza. For Florida pizza it’s not bad. Now this pizza is greasy which is likely from the cheese and pepperoni but if that’s your thing, then you’ll like it. It had a good crisp to the crust and while It’s not New Haven it’s pretty good. Im a cheese pizza guy so perhaps we will try that next time, hopefully the cheese is a bit less greasy on the cheese than the pepperoni but thats literally my only critique as the rest was delicious.
Finally the Ruben I’m told was awesome. Plenty of meat and flavor in this Ruben sandwich.
Also this location is much more accessible for ADA type situations. We don’t have any issues but accessing the inside of the building is very easy unlike the previous location across the street.
Overall it was a great 5 star experience and I would certainly come...
Read moreI've waited a few days after our experience to make sure I wasn't just frustrated in the moment, and I still feel like this is an accurate review of our dinner earlier this week.
The one positive of the evening was that my husband said his Reuben was good (minus the fact that the bread was burned). He said that had the bread not been burned, it would've been the best Reuben he's ever had. So that is fairly positive, and the reason the food is given a generous 2-stars.
The fries with my husband's Reuben were cold. They were fully cooked, but cold as if they'd been sitting in the kitchen not under a warmer.
I ordered mild wings (said it had a little kick), but there was no kick. It tasted like a sweet sauce. If you order mild (unless they just put the wrong thing on it), expect sweet with no heat. I would've brought this up to the server, but she didn't come back to check on us.
It took over 35 minutes to receive our food. It may have been a skeleton crew at 5:30 pm, but that seemed like a lot of wait time for not many people in the restaurant.
If you are not a regular, I would not suggest eating here. You will be ignored (at least by the crew that was working when we went). The waitress we had spent more time talking to a friend that was following he around than checking on customers. We didn't see her for over 20 minutes. I will note, that if she knew you, she was super sweet, and chatted with you while taking your order. She took ours as she was passing by and then shouted back to our table over other tables when she realized she hadn't asked me if I wanted ranch or Blue cheese for my wings.
The air conditioning was barely on. I'm all for not freezing in a restaurant, but goodness it was too warm in there for a Florida summer. Not the best way to save a dime or entice others to come back.
I hate to leave a bad review, as I know it's hard to keep people employed, but I've seen so many good reviews and we were excited to try eating here because it's only a couple miles from home for us. We will not be back, and we will not suggest...
