Boy, it took us way too long to try out the newest Mexican restaurant in Clermont. We sure are glad we finally visited. They are located on the western edge of downtown Clermont so at the end of the main section of Montrose St. It’s worth the visit even if it’s not where all the action is when events take place in downtown, actually kind of refreshing to escape the noise on truck food night! This place is a family run fairly authentic (as much as can be north of the border) Mexican dishes from Michoacán, Mexico. It;s so nice to have a different flavor of Mexico in the area to compliment the other Mexican restaurants! We had the Chíle Reñeno and Molcajete. We are big fans of Chile Reñeno but actually liked the Molcajete better. Don’t get me wrong, the Reñeno was good but not spicy enough for our tastes. What we didn’t do was ask for the hotter, spicier salsa. Once we tried the slaw picante we knew that’s all we needed for the Reñeno. The normal salsa is very tasty but just not as hot as we like it. The hotter salsa is made with chile de árbol and tomatios so much more to our tastes. Both salsas are home made and excellent. The menu is quite extensive so I’m sure there is something for your tastes. The prices are medium and within range for a sit down restaurant. The service was excellent and my hat is off to Mario who made us feel welcome and like family. We will return and we will...
Read moreI came to Los Reyes in Leesburg and was completely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the food absolutely delivered. I ordered the carne asada and birria tacos along with a tamarind juice, and every bite was packed with flavor. The carne asada was tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly, while the birria had that rich, comforting depth that makes you slow down just to savor it. The tortillas tasted fresh and authentic, and the tamarind juice was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy to balance it all out.
What made the experience even better was Mario, who took our order and served us. He carried himself with such confidence and pride in the food, speaking almost like he owned the place and honestly, with the way he took care of us, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. His energy, friendliness, and attention made the whole meal feel special.
Los Reyes isn’t just another spot to grab tacos it’s a place that leaves an impression. The combination of authentic flavor, fresh ingredients, and genuine hospitality makes it a true gem in Leesburg. This was easily one of the best Mexican food experiences I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be...
Read moreSo this place looks pretty unique and inviting. Upon entering the restaurant we we're immediately greeted by a hostess and sat promptly. The waitress came over and asked what we would like to drink. She was nice and attentive. We ordered the Vallarta Special and the Chilli Relleno plate, my son got the kids chicken quessadilla. When the food arrived I noticed that my wife only received one Chilli instead of two like the menu stated. I told the waitress and she explained that when the chilli's are very large then they only give you one, the one on her plate was only four inches long so that's small in my book. My shrimp we're over cooked and the cheese sauce was very salty. Everything else was just fine including my son's meal. My biggest complaint lies in the fact that I paid $8.99 for their "famous extra large guacamole" and you can see what I got, reference the size of the tortilla chips compared to the guac. Unfortunately the meal ended up costing us $48.00 before tip. Way too expensive for what you get. Everyone was very nice though and the...
