I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a highly unsatisfactory experience I had today at the leesburg restaurant, directly stemming from the behavior of a manager named Brandon. This is not my first issue at this location, and Brandon's conduct was particularly egregious. I visited your establishment for lunch today, an uncomfortably hot day after working outside. I ordered a meal and a drink, and after quickly finishing my beverage, I politely requested a refill, as is common practice at most fast-food restaurants, including another Checkers location I visited in Ocala just yesterday without issue. Initially, a team member denied the refill, citing "COVID." While I respectfully disagreed, the situation escalated when Brandon, the manager, interjected. His exact words were, "we don't take dirty things into our restaurant," in reference to my cup. This statement was not only offensive, implying I was "dirty," but also illogical considering the cup was barely used. It was clear his intent was to deny a refill based on a poorly justified premise rather than a genuine concern for hygiene, especially since he then offered water in a new cup. My lunch cost me $14.96. While a single transaction may seem minor, consider the potential long-term revenue. If I were to eat lunch at your establishment every other day for a year, that totals approximately $2,730. To lose that kind of potential revenue over a 10-cent drink and a manager's terrible attitude demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of customer value. With 25 years of experience in the food industry, including managing a fast-food restaurant, and now as a successful pest control business owner, I intimately understand that customers are the foundation of any business's success. My own business thrives because we treat every customer with the utmost respect and consistently go above and beyond. Brandon's apparent disdain for customers, epitomized by his "we don't take dirty things" comment, is frankly unacceptable. He seems to forget that customers directly contribute to his paycheck. A simple, customer-centric approach would have been for Brandon to provide a new cup with a refill, perhaps stating, "While our current policy doesn't typically include refills, since you weren't aware, here's a fresh one." This would have resolved the issue amicably and maintained a valuable customer. Instead, I left without even eating my burger, completely soured by the interaction. I urge you to address Brandon's customer service deficiencies. Losing even a few regular customers due to such behavior can significantly impact a location's profitability. I am no longer returning to this specific Checkers, but for the sake of your business, I hope you will take this feedback seriously. Thank you for your time and attention to this critical...
Read moreThis was the worst experience!!! Ok, the cashier was in training. I get that, employees are hard to come by, but there was NO manager showing the cashier what to do. We got coupons in the mail. I ask each kid to pick out their coupon for their order. The casher calls the Manager over. He touches the screen with gloves on. He was just making sandwiches, and goes right back to making sandwiches. He didn't even change his gloves. How gross & cross contamination!!!! She says register is setup to use 1 coupon per transaction. I said OH OK!! Well than what is my total. So 1st kids places her order with the coupon and I pay for it. Than the next child goes to place thier order with a coupon. The cashier calls the manager over, again. No one is there training the cashier how to use the register. The cashier tells me it is 1 coupon PER DAY 🤨 and she couldn't take my coupon. So I asked very clearly " Are you telling me of my 3 kids that only 1 child can eat? Is that what you are saying??" She looks at me like I have 2 heads. So I repeated those same 2 questions to the cashier for a second time. She says the Manager says 1 coupon per day. So final thought : Checkers in Leesburg doesn't want your money or to be open for business!! You want proof!!!! 1 of 3 kids got to eat lunch that day, from Checkers that is. I also got Burger King coupons too! Burger King in Leesburg down by Oakahamka got the rest of my lunch orders. Checkers in Leesburg what do you think you showed the kids that didn't get to eat??? Not compassion or kindness. Wow we are talking about kids!!! The Manager was obviously NOT...
Read moreService is terrible, if you’re not going through the drive thru. If you try to order on app or get delivery they will mess up your order, and won’t give it to you on time! I moved to the area two years ago ordered online twice and both times my order was late and wrong. So I avoided the location, thinking it was a bad one. I recently tried them again, using their drive thru a couple times and had no issue with my order. I was happy they appeared to have gotten better. Until today when I ordered off of their app and got a completely different experience. They apparently assumed I was a door dash driver, they told me so after they made me drive around to serve the customer behind me first, even though they already had my order ready, they claimed. So, why did I have to drive around? Well I guess the car behind me was more special than me for some reason… I drive around and finally get my order. When I asked for ketchup the lady then realized I wasn’t a delivery driver and seemed to try to apologize telling me I should have gone through the drive thru, even though I went into the line the sign pointed to go to for app orders. Then she shut the window in my face without giving me ketchup. I got out of my car to reach the window to knock, got ketchup, left and got home to see that my order was missing items! They didn’t change, they’re just only good if you go thru their drive...
