Very nice tree. Unfortunate that it's directly off the highway and it's loud. But the tree is amazing and they have a bench for you to sit at. The tree is easily found as soon as you enter lake griffin state park, it's immediately on the right.

If your someone who appreciates nature and history this is a must see, to stand under a tree older than this nation puts things into perspective. If this tree could talk imagine the story's it could tell the things is has experienced and what may have taken place in this location to put your hands on a living organism that has been on earth for up to 300 years or more is just...

beautiful tree. sandy trail, yep, plenty of bugs. welcome to Florida. :) great place to close your eyes and imagine what this tree has seen, the children that climbed and played on the branches, the shade it provided for travelers... gosh I just love these...
