I visited Bordertown for the first time on Monday the 30th in the afternoon. Being my first time, and not knowing where to order, I was pretty disappointed to not be greeted by the staff nor told "if you're ready to order, I can help you here". I stood hovering by the counter with zero acknowledgment. There was a blonde gal (I am assuming was the manager) that made eye contact and smiled but didnt say anything. I seriously looked like a deer in the headlights. I am a very quiet person so even when I did ask an employee "is this where I order?" No one heard me. I then asked a customer where to order, she was super helpful and pointed me to the middle of the counter.
I placed my order with a young gentleman. He was very quiet and the one thing that grossed me out was he was chewing gum. (I have a phobia of gum first off - I deal with it as best as I can) and secondly, I don't think you should be chewing anything when working with food or drinks.
Other than that awkward experience. I sat and enjoyed the delicious scone and coffee while I journaled and read a book.
It wasnt a great first impression, but I will definitely go back to try it again. It's a small town local coffee shop and I want to support the small town places more than the big name coffee shops. Plus the 90s country music...
Read moreIf you are going to spend your time and money on coffee or energy spend it here. Between Megan, Treasure and all the other amazing girls and the 1 gentlemen they are always so kind! I am here almost daily, they now my day is busy and I'm always on the go, and they always make sure my drinks are perfect!! A few of the amazing ladies have memorized my drinks, which has saved me on multiple occasions when I have been to tired to focus and falling asleep.. I could go somewhere cheaper it's true, but I'm not just paying for my drinks and scone, I'm paying for the individual experience I get when I'm here. They know my name, they care about my day, they know when something is off, theses ladies (and gentlemen) LOVE their job and you can tell, it shows with every drink, every smile, every laugh.. I will continue to come here and see these wonderful people for as long as I can! They truly make my days brighter!! Thank you Fruitland Boardertown for caring about your customers and loving what you do, thank you for letting us random customers feel important even when you see hundreds of people daily!! I pray that you have a wonderful day and keep making the world a...
Read moreThe coffee that they use has good flavor ! My coffee always tastes great and the flavor is consistent. It's way better than DB . The only bad thing I can say is I went in twice in a row and I was given way to much ice in my coffee. Two sips and I actually seen most of it gone.. I called and let one of the girls know about it and she just said we do this all the time. That wasn't very cool Because I easily drop $50 a week on coffee😬. But I decided if I'm gonna get mostly ice, then I don't need coffee very often. Hubby also asked for a hot breve and we drove off an noticed his coffee felt very light and hubby said no its full,so I took off the lid and it was half full of foam and half coffee. I was like no way! I didn't want to complain but I didn't pay for half a cup either. The manager replaced the coffee. But like I said I really like the...
