McDonald's — Restaurant in Fruitport Charter Township

This review is for the only time I have been to this location, so this may not be indicative of normal service. We stopped here during a road trip on Christmas Eve. It was after 6:00pm and we were aware that there wouldn't be a lot open and the places that were would be busy.

They had the inside serving area closed and there were 3 cars in front of us at the drive through ordering. It probably took us 5 minutes to get to the ordering station, which was longer than usual but not unreasonable. But once we got to the ordering staion we were told to hold on for a moment. We then sat there for 20 minutes waiting to have our order taken. It turns out that they only had 3 employees and that the employee taking orders had gone back to help them make food. Understandably, they wouldn't be able to make food as fast, but when asked the employee couldn't even say how much longer he would have us waiting there before he took our order. Based on that the three cars in front of us were still waiting when we finally gave up, total time through the drive through must have been 45 minutes.

Clearly they couldn't operate with only 3 employees and should have closed for the night. We would have saved ourselves half an hour and have gone somewhere else. By the time we left the cars were backed up to the curb and at least a dozen other cars had waited a long time and gave up. Again, this was just one experience but suggestive that there are some greater management issues with...

We are visiting from Virginia. We usually love. McDonald's however yesterday's experience was the worst. It took over 5 minutes to get to the pay window. While there the cashier twirled and banged my credit card. She took three orders before paying. Once I pulled up to get my food I heard two women arguing. One women finally came to ask me to please pull up because we ordered no salt on the fries. I had ordered two quarter pounders with diet coke with no salt on the fries. After over 5 minutes she delivered a bag with two fries. I explained we had ordered drinks, before I finished she said she would get the drinks. I had to get my receipt and go inside and tried to explain I had my receipt. I tried to show her when she screamed don't put that in my face. I asked if there was a manager on duty. After another 5 minutes the manager came out. Unfortunately the manager was one of the two engaged in the argument at the drive up window. I asked for my money back. The manager asked what was wrong. I tried to explain when she started telling me they were only human. While returning my money she steadily tried to humiliate me until I told her give my money and please shut up. I have never had or been treated like this ever. If this is the reputation McDonald's is striving for you have achieved it. I have looked at several reviews. I have never had a restraunt with more negative reviews than good. Believe me I will tell everyone of this...

I have never been so disgusted with service. We started in drive thru. After 2 minutes and 3 hellos, the crew member FINALLY stopped talking to her friend (we witnessed this as we waited for her to take payment) long enough to take our order. After repeating 3 times she provided inaccurate prices. I came in to talk to the manager. She could finally be bothered to come help after a couple minutes and apologized but offered nothing to help. SEVEN 90 second drive thru orders and THREE in store orders were given before mine as i waited several minutes WITH HALF MY ORDER ON THE COUNTER GETTING COLD. The manager needs to be fired. That wretched woman was rude and disrespectful and because of refunding one quarter pounder decided i wouldnt get my fries but didnt tell us. After having to drive back she refused to refund my whole order and did not give me my fries. It is my boyfriends birthday!!! We were getting the children and my elderly mother food so we could get out to our dinner THAT WE HAD TO CHANGE BECAUSE OF THE STORE'S INCOMPETENCE. unacceptable. The children were already eating by the time we realized the fries were missing i wasnt going to take food from a disabled child and her little brother!
