Plastic and a long strip of fat in my carnitas burrito.

Where's the zero stars option? This was the most disgusting food I've had in memory. I ordered three carnitas burritos and a bean burrito. I opened a carnitas burrito and it was nothing but grease. I drained what I could, then I started eating. The taste is forgettable, which is sad because they used to be great, but the quality has suffered as the prices have increased.

But what was absolutely disgusting, unforgettably disgusting, purely loathsome, was the big strip of what looks and feels like boiled fat, and yellow strips of what feels like plastic. PLASTIC!!! (I'll up load a photo.) I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will go out of my way to dissuade people from coming here.

This happened on 08/27/24, ordered about 3:20 p.m.

EDIT: 08/28/24, 5:50 a.m. - I ordered 4 total burritos for 2 people/family. 1 each for dinner, 1 each for lunch the next day.

I decided not to eat my second carnitas burrito. I did heat it up, which left it greasy/oily and I did open it up. I found another long piece of stringy, chewy, spongy meat on the inside. I don't know what it was. I do know that if that had touched my tongue and entered my mouth, I would have puked.

Also, after cutting up the burrito and looking through it, I noticed two black hairs close together mixed with the guacamole on my plate. First, my hair isn't black, second, my hair is shaved to about 1/4 an inch right now. I'm not going to guess at what kind of hair it was, but that is disgusting.

I suggested to my family member not to eat the third carnitas burrito, but we did open it up. There was no long and spongy piece of meat/fat, whatever it was, but there was that yellow plastic/plastic-like thing on the inside.

Their cook needs to be fired and possibly arrested for messing with people's food and the Health Department needs to be notified. Maybe I'll notify them. Honestly, I haven't felt this mentally sick in...

Service was pretty rude. Travelling through the area, we got off the 5 freeway specifically for this restaurant. Ordered a Chile Relleno Burrito, and chips and salsa. the Chile inside of the burrito was very small, & only half of the burrito had Chile, although the flavor was good and the tortillas tasted home made, not sure if they were but they were good. The chips and salsa came n a box with the pico de Gallo dumped all over the top of the chips, NOT what I wanted or expected and I asked if we could have them separate and the guy at the window said "I'll do it this one time only, next time tell us when you order you don't want the salsa on The chips" WHO would expect it in the first place and how would anyone know to expect that when you've never been here and most places serve them separate, chips in a bag, salsa in a cup with a lid. There won't be a "next time" we were only passing through town but your rudeness scored you this 3 star review. The food was good and the chips were scalding hot fresh, everything was good but the service ruined it for us. We won't come back, even if we do pass through your town again. And my daughter $8 bean burrito was skimpy and limpy, pretty small. For a bean burrito you would expect it to at least be...

Please we wary….as I am posting this my hands are shaking. I am still in shock from this event. I use to go to this place all the time. They had the best carne asada fries and burritos. I even ordered catered food from here for my 18th birthday party. I came back here with my boyfriend at the time in 2010. It was my first time dining in, instead of drive-thru and as I took a bite of my burrito about midway I found finger nails. Yes about two pieces of full-size finger nails. I was so shocked, I asked my boyfriend at the time if it was nails and he replied…”yes”.(Ahhh!! I am still grossed out I want to cry).

And so I quickly went up to the counter and spoke to the cashier. I showed her the nails and she said he burrito master stood behind her. She took the nails and placed it on the metal counter and brushed it to the floor. With no apology, she quickly asked me what I wanted. I said I just wanted my money back. She gave me my money and I left. I left in tears. (This was my last twenty dollars at the time too. )

I should I told the news, I should have sued and done more. But, I didn’t and it was my loss. I never went here again. To be honest, before this event I loved the place.
