The food here was great, they have a great selection, buffet, shabu shabu and kbb at the same time. My sever Daniel was great very attractive and kept the meats commercial. The atmosphere is also amazing, dim lighting and comfortable. Update: 02/04/2024 5pm Having frequented this restaurant previously with my bjj brothers and enjoyed their great selection of buffet, shabu shabu, and Korean BBQ, along with the pleasant atmosphere created by dim lighting and comfortable seating, I felt compelled to update my review after my latest visit on February 4th, 2024. On this occasion, I was accompanied by my expecting wife, looking forward to another delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, our initial interaction was far from the high standards I experienced with my brothers. We were served by a young Hispanic waitress whose demeanor was notably rude; she failed to offer us the option of drinks, a surprising oversight given the prominent display of soju at the entrance. Further exacerbating the situation, she engaged in conversation with the host (who was also rude) while I was in the midst of placing our order, demonstrating a disconcerting lack of attention. Both the waitress and the host exhibited a level of rudeness that was quite unsettling. The service mishaps continued as I found myself having to prompt the replacement of our grill, only for it to be exchanged with a broken grill that was noticeably missing several pieces. Additionally, the oversight of leaving food from other tables unattended did little to enhance the dining ambiance. However, amidst these challenges, there was a beacon of exceptional service: a waitress named Sarah. Her professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction significantly redeemed our experience. Sarah's attentiveness, her initiative to inquire if we desired drinks, and her overall approach to service were exemplary. She single-handedly transformed our visit, ensuring we felt valued and well-cared for. Due to Sarah's outstanding service, I was compelled to leave a 20% tip on our $100 bill, a gesture made solely in recognition of her efforts. Had the tipping policy allowed for individual gratuities, I would have gladly rewarded her with a 100% tip. Pro Tip: If you're feeling adventurous and order more than two orders of brisket, brace yourself for an unexpected twist in the plot – the cuts get leaner and leaner, as if the kitchen is on a New Year's resolution kick. To navigate this lean dilemma, save some of the fatty brisket from your initial orders like a culinary squirrel saving nuts for the winter. Then when they give you the dry brisket mix the to add more fat and prevent dry meant as shown in the pictures. It's the perfect strategy to maintain moisture in the force of your BBQ feast. In reflection, while this visit exposed some areas of concern, particularly with certain staff members' service quality, it also highlighted the impactful difference that one dedicated individual can make and the strategic maneuvers needed to optimize the brisket experience. It is my hope that the restaurant addresses these inconsistencies to ensure all patrons can enjoy the exceptional dining experience that I know they are capable of providing, all while navigating the brisket strategy like seasoned generals.

The idea that you could have ayce kbbq and hot pot at the same time sounded like a spectacular combination, but it was poorly executed here as they were understaffed, which contributed to lack of attention and quality of service. While we left full, there was a lot left to be desired and it felt like a waste of time and money spent. Especially since it was Thanksgiving Day. We chose Menu B for both ayce kbbq and hot pot. For hot pot, we got Spicy Seafood and Beef for our soup base. Vegetable platter comes out followed by our meat selection: ribeye, beef belly and lamb. They appeared thin in their tray, but once cooked, the pieces were so large and thick. I wish they were cut a bit smaller and/or thinner. For kbbq, we ordered brisket, LA marinated short rib, pork belly, beef belly and beef tongue. We never got the beef tongue, but 2 extra trays of brisket. They drop off the meat quickly to disappear elsewhere, so it's not like we could ask what they were. We also ordered the soft tofu soup and steamed egg, which were both BURNT. You could smell and taste the char and bitterness. Awful... The side dishes were mediocre. We got refills of the potato salad and radish slices while everything was set aside due to it being bland or having a strange aftertaste. We also got sauces, but we had no idea what they were. Service was lacking, aka, ours disappeared after the initial order. After many failed attempts to get someone's attention, my bf shouted "Excuse me" to get anyone's attention. They ran over fast and started to pay more attention further into the evening, which is crazy because we arrived at opening when it was a little slower. Overall, it was shocking to experience sub-par service. In my opinion, there's definite room for improvement to streamline their service because it was chaotic. I think it would be great if the servers could spend like 2-3 minutes providing an overview of their menu/ordering process and how to adjust the fan above the grill, especially if it's their first time at BWON. Have a designated person as a refill floater for beverages, sides and grill change. Hire a hostess or have someone at the front desk AND make sure the tables are cleaned before a new party arrives so that they don't wait in the middle of the walkway. SMH.

overall poopoo experience :( coming here was a sub-tolerable experience—the food was edible but nothing crazy, the ventilation was quite poor, and overall service seemed very lackluster and unenthused. i will say, at the start, my party requested different seating from where we were assigned (originally at the back) because my mom and i had difficulty breathing and we were only given a new table after my mom asked twice. maybe this upset our server or the supervisor, but it seemed to set off the mood for the evening. at some points, i really wanted to empathize with all the staff, but no one here seemed to care to be working here at all! my party had never been here before, and our waiter made no attempt to explain anything. it took the pot coming out for us to realize we could have selected two broths instead of one. this didn't seem to matter because the broths were quite bland. the sauces were... very minimal (there was pnly sesame oil, soy sauce, peanut sauce, sriracha, garlic, scallion, teriyaki, chili flakes, salt, and a mystery chili sauce that was not very spicy at all). all the cuts of meat felt and tasted cheap—not worth the prices they were sold for. the grill's vent was very low to the stove with a very weak pull and was in the way of cooking, hence the smokiness of the initial seating. the area was not very well lit either—not even lit in any sort of moody ambiance. none of the dishes seemed clean, either! i riffled through a few at the sushi bar, and every plate had traces of grease. i witnessed some staff knock over a bin on tongs and put them all back in. overall, not a great experience! wouldn't come here again knowing there's a gen and little ceasars nearby. sorry !

Bwon Shabu and KBBQ Restaurant: A Flavor Explosion in Every Bite If you’re craving a Korean BBQ and shabu-shabu experience that’s both authentic and exciting, Bwon Shabu and KBBQ Restaurant is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a modern, cozy vibe, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out or a special celebration with friends and family. The Ambiance: The atmosphere is sleek yet relaxed, with spacious booths and table seating. The warm lighting and contemporary design add to the overall experience, but it’s the comfortable, friendly environment that really draws you in. Whether you're new to Korean BBQ or a seasoned pro, the staff at Bwon makes sure you feel right at home. The Food: Where Bwon truly shines is in the quality and variety of its offerings. The Korean BBQ section boasts an impressive selection of meats, from marinated short ribs (galbi) to tender pork belly and beef brisket. Each cut is fresh and beautifully seasoned, giving you that perfect balance of savory and smoky with every grill. The meat comes out thinly sliced, which makes grilling easy and fast – the sweet spot for that crispy edge and juicy interior. For extra flavor, there are dipping sauces, garlic, and sesame oil to enhance your grilled meats. Shabu-Shabu: As much as the BBQ is a star here, don’t overlook the shabu-shabu experience. The broth is rich and savory, a soothing base that complements the fresh ingredients perfectly. From the ultra-thin slices of beef to the variety of veggies and tofu, it’s clear that Bwon pays attention to detail. The ability to customize your soup base (spicy or mild) is a nice touch, and the quality of the ingredients speaks for itself. Each bite is light yet satisfying, providing the perfect contrast to the grilled meats. Side Dishes (Banchan): A Korean BBQ experience wouldn’t be complete without the array of banchan, and Bwon doesn’t disappoint. The kimchi is tangy and full of flavor, and the pickled vegetables offer the ideal amount of crunch and acidity to cut through the richness of the BBQ. The steamed egg and potato salad add a comforting touch, rounding out the meal with both texture and flavor. Drinks: Bwon offers a good selection of beverages to pair with your meal. From traditional Korean drinks like soju and makgeolli to more common options, there’s something for every palate. If you’re looking for something non-alcoholic, their refreshing iced barley tea is a great way to cleanse your palate between bites. Service: Service is attentive without being overbearing. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and more than happy to explain how to properly grill your meats or suggest wine pairings. If you're a first-timer, don’t hesitate to ask – they’ll guide you through the experience. Verdict: Overall, Bwon Shabu and KBBQ Restaurant is a standout for anyone who loves Korean BBQ and shabu-shabu. The combination of top-quality meats, fresh ingredients, and fantastic service makes it a destination worth revisiting. Whether you're in the mood for a laid-back meal or something more interactive, Bwon delivers on all fronts. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Your taste buds...
