Better Buzz Coffee – Fullerton — Restaurant in Fullerton

FOOD (ALLERGIC TO DAIRY) ACAI BOWL - ISLANDER : "Organic acai topped with vanilla almond granola, fresh berries, bananas, and shredded coconut." I enjoyed this; A sweet fruit bowl for fairly standard acai price at $11.99 USD. Next time, I want to put almond butter and try their other acai topping options like bee pollen, jam, and cocoa nibs. REGULAR HORCHATA ICED LATTE: "Sweetened cinnamon rice milk made in house with a splash of almond milk and ice. Topped with espresso and cinnamon sugar". This drink is easily my favorite drink on the whole menu. Firstly, it's made with almond milk so I don't have to worry about the threat of an allergic reaction as much as I would for other drinks. Then I really like the sweet flavor of the almond milk horchata as I progress further into my drink. I'm glad that my enjoyment for this drink is consistent between this location and the one that I started with back in San Marcos, CA. LARGE UBE MATCHA w/o UBE COLD CREAM: "Matcha with ube syrup. Topped with an ube cold cream and ube powder". This is the their limited menu drink, I was told it's only available for the first 30 days after the grand opening. Unfortunately, my dairy allergy makes it impossible to enjoy with the cold cream topping so I can't really know how it was intended to taste. That being said, I sadly didn't enjoy the taste of this drink. I couldn't taste the ube flavor and the matcha tasted watered down.

SERVICE Really quick, got my order completed in less than 10 minutes. They did mess up one of my drinks because of the cold foam but that was very swiftly replaced. The cashier girl at the time was unable to add a note to my order to let other baristas know of my dairy allergy so she told another barista during check-out. Maybe something the register/till UI techs behind the scenes can implement?

In terms of the drive-thru, they had at least two staff to take orders outside the cafe in anticipation for the grand opening. I'm hoping it is just as efficient in the coming months.

AMBIANCE The interior is very simple, not super distracting. Eating/drinking areas are super easy to navigate and there's enough room at the order pick-up if there were a queue of online orders. Plenty of entrances & exits so you can just go in from anywhere, sit down, order a drink, and study.

Yesterday I came to Better Buzz for a third and final visit. First 2 visits wasn't too impressed with the blueberry pancake latte or the miso latte. Also tried waffles and they were soggy and very disappointing. Service was friendly but seemed to be mimicking another coffee place with over the top conversation.

Yesterday I came to the Fullerton location around 2pm. 3 cars in line. Ordered a regular horchata latte. Waited to pull up to window. Girl at window looking for my drink then says oh we're out of Horchata what else could I make you. Mind you she already utilized my free drink so I felt like I had to try something else. I decided on a blended caramel. She then says ok you will have to pull to spot 1 while we make it since drink ready for car behind you. A girl working front said I'll run it out to her and started making it. I was annoyed a bit because I feel they should have told me they were out while ordering. Strike 1. So I pulled up to spot 1 which is right after you pull out of drive thru. I sat there. Car behind me comes out and pulls behind me. I wave him around. He sits there honking thinking I'm just sitting in the way. I have to get out point to space 1 sign and he speeds off cursing at me. Here comes the 2nd car out of drive thru. He also pulls behind me and starts honking and waving his arms. Again i have to get out and tell him I'm parked in spot 1 waiting for my drink. He also speeds off angry. Strike 2. Move your wsiting spot!! So after sitting here what felt like forever and dealing with 2 angry drivers I decide to go in to see what's going on. I walk in and I see the drive thru worker and the girl that said she would bring out my drink chatting and the girl that was supposed to bring out my drink was looking at her cell phone. I said excuse me is my drink ready. They laughed and said oh sorry. STRIKE 3!!! Also as I came out there was a 3rd car waiting behind my parked car in spot 1. You really should move that spot. It could cause some volatile behavior. So after all this waiting for you to open. You've lost a locals business...

I Stumbled upon this beauty while trying to go thru the shopping plaza. My childhood Burger King growing up has turned into what? The decor of the building is really nice w a nice Navy Blue & white painting along with a nice name “Better Buzz” was really inviting. Evan my mil wanted to go check it out. The drive thru line was also backed up. I knew instantly i had to check this place out. Especially checking Yelp really quick to see my mama friend Sue came here already a few months ago.

As you walk in, really nice natural lighting, open spacious coffee shop with a lot of seatings. They also have an outdoor patio seating area with umbrellas.

Was here during lunch time 1 pm. We we headed to Lotteria (Korean burger joint) originally, in same plaza and saw a line so decided not to go. That’s how we found Better Buzz Coffee.

What we ordered ~ Deluxe OG Acai bowl was good. I noticed it looks like they don’t make the actual acai part of the bowl fresh meaning right than. It was a bit frozen but they add the toppings on fresh. The acai part was good along with the bowl itself. ~ Feta avocado Toast was yummy. Wished it came with an egg but it was still good and yummy. ~Hazelnut Divinity w oat milk topped Vanilla cold foam is a great drink. Really creamy. Got it 50% sweetness. The drink per associate is pretty sweet. So i Adjusted the sweetness. My 1st time having their drink n it's legit good.

Associate was nice & got our items in a timely manner. They said they’ve been open since December of 2024. Still shock i was never aware as i request Fullerton to visit my in laws occasionally and I’m always on Harbor Blvd.
