Super Mex — Restaurant in Fullerton

12:30pm-1:30pm 2/27/23 Salsa was tasty with a hint of spice and served with tostadas, the tostadas were light and flaky but would’ve been better if served warm. They even had them under a heat lamp but didn’t have the lamp on. We ordered the Asada fajitas which wasn’t served sizzling (my big mistake )and the asada seemed old (like yesterday’s) no grease or grill marks on the asada or veggies. We also had a asada taco which was the same way ,warm, no grill marks or flavor. The enchiladas sauce was good but also served warm. The beans were real thick and clumpy (they should’ve added liquid to loosen them up and also warm , but the rice was on point . Honestly all the food was just warm. I know what u may be thinking, was it busy? No there was 3-4 tables with multiple staff working. The staff was nice and welcoming, but we only seen our waitress 3 times , 1 To take the order ,2 to bring our food , 3 to give us our check. I do all my own cooking and own a catering business, I can tell you this food was not freshly made to order , it was assembled food from a warmer or reheated. had it been cooked fresh to order my review might’ve...

The fact that this place somehow has 4.4 stars rating leaves so much confusion as to how ratings are generated. Regular human beings for sure are not the ones giving this place anything higher than 3 stars! The ones giving it 3 stars… I blame the alcohol. Anything lower than 3… THOSE are human’s ratings.

And no, before someone starts to defend this place, don’t tell me you go a RESTAURANT to enjoy the chairs, or wall colors, or random out-of-place artifacts placed all over the place… no, you go to a restaurant to EAT. That’s the MAIN reason!

If they were to serve wet cardboard with a pinch of salt on it, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from their “steak”, or shrimp or chicken, l served next to it.

And please… don’t even try to go to the restrooms on a semi-busy night… human secretions adorne the entire floor and walls. The stench is similar to a porta-potty you go to when on a concert in a random desert.

There are soooo many other places that serve edible Mexican food that you really don’t have to come here. Seriously.

I usually love coming here customer service is always great except for tonight I met another waitress I didn’t get her name but she has black hair she had it in a low bun. She’s more on the shorter side. Throughout the whole time that I was there I needed a few things And she was nowhere to be found she was really busy helping other tables I think she forgot about me she came back to ask if I needed anything once she realized that I was being helped by other waitresses. Then I was trying to pay my bill but again she was nowhere to be found. So I went up to pay for my bill then she realized I think it was her manager was helping me so she walked up with her manager to give me the change I think she was expecting a tip but I’m huge on customer service. Maybe she was too busy to take care of another table. I love to tip but I don’t even think she tried to serve me because she was all over the place. The tostadas were super stale and not tasty at all I asked if she could change them but she said that that’s all they had. I enjoyed the food very...
