We have been coming here since it first opened. We love to have sushi at least once per week. We decided to come here and get the happy hour special along with some other rolls.
They bought the "handrolls." They came out on fancy wodden stands. However, they were not rolled. They were like tacos. Lazy. They were not appealing looking, at all. On top of that, they didn't bring people's orders to them. They brought everything out like family style. Then they couldn't tell us what was a spicy tuna or spicy albacore or spicy yellowtail handroll. We were left to guess and people didn't get the items they ordered.
The quality of the food and service has gone down, significantly since they opened. Beware of the happy hour items. They are not the regular size orders. They are cheaper because you just plain get less food. Its not a deal.
Also, be careful about their special coupons. A couple in our party had come in a couple weeks prior and had a coupon for a free soda. They don't normally drink soda, so they were not going to order any. The waitress talked them into ordering them. They gave the coupon. The sodas were not taken off their bill. They didn't scrutinize the bill, but after they returned home, they noticed they were charged for them. They called the restaurant and were told that they just needed to inform the server of what happened and who they spoke with and they would take care of it. Nope. They brought it up and they were told they could only get two more "free" sodas and not credited.
They opted for the free sodas... that they will not likely drink, given to them in cans to take home. We never did check the bill to see if we were charged again for them. Awful
The server was nice but seemed I experienced. That's is fine. It's the management and lack of customer service that this place...
Read moreHaving previously experienced good service at Crazy Rock'n Sushi, I was deeply disappointed by my most recent visit with my family. The service was notably subpar, with an apparent assumption that families with children require excessive time to order or have minimal beverage needs. I requested sparkling water for my children, only to be informed that the restaurant had just one bottle available. While we were content to switch to regular water, the staff neglected to refill our empty glasses from the delivery of the appetizer through to the arrival of the main entrees—a significant oversight for such a basic aspect of service.
More concerning, however, was the quality of the food, which compels me to share this review as a caution to future patrons. We ordered the short rib, which was noticeably off in both taste and smell, suggesting it was not fresh and possibly spoiled. The kitchen appeared to have masked this with heavy seasoning, which did not fully conceal the issue. Regrettably, my children consumed most of the dish before I sampled the final piece and recognized the problem. As a parent, this experience was particularly alarming and unacceptable.
While I typically offer positive feedback or refrain from reviewing altogether, the involvement of my children’s health prompted this critique. I may return to Crazy Rock'n Sushi in the future to assess whether this was an isolated incident, but I strongly advise others to exercise caution, particularly with meat dishes. This visit fell far short of expectations, and I hope the restaurant addresses these...
Read moreI love a good sushi experience and this place is it. It definitely didn't look like a fancy place outside but when you walk in, bam! It's beautiful! I love the atmosphere of the place. And the traditional clothes they wore to serve us was a wonderful experience. The sushi chef did a phenomenal job at the presentation. My two guests never experienced something like this before and I am glad I was able to share it with them. They loved it. Every dish served turned out great I highly recommend getting the premium sushi or sashimi platter. It's so eye-catching. You will have people turn their heads looking at what you order. Chef choice is the right choice. They know what they're giving and every piece tastes wonderfully. I wish I am eating it again right at this moment.
I wanted to get something besides sushi to let others know if you had a significant other or a friend who can't do raw fish, they have cooked items as well. They offer noodles, katsu with curry over rice. Both is so amazing. The cheese pork katsu is what I got and you should too. My coach at it all up. They also have sui mai. Tasted very light. Good that you don't feel like eating something heavy as an appetizer.
I would definitely be back and let the chef choose what I eat. I trust...
