Heard about this place and decided to try it since we were in the area. Waited about 45 mins for a table, which we didn’t think was a long wait. But it went downhill from there. We ordered our food at the counter as the server instructed. We order the rose Tteokbokki and one order of boneless K. fried chicken. The Tteokbokki came out fairly quickly, and the taste was good. But I felt they were stingy with the ingredients.
Then we waited for our chicken. We noticed that the table next to us that ordered after us received their chicken, so we decided to wait another 10 mins, believing it would come. My husband finally went up to check on the status. He told the employee, “hi I’m just checking on our order” which the guy immediately responded with “it’s coming”. But he didn’t ask which table we were at or what we were waiting for. We waited another 10-15 minutes and nothing. My husband went back to just cancel the chicken since we were already done with our food and it had been almost an hour at this point. But when he tried to cancel it, the employee said “it’s coming out right now”. He didn’t let us cancel it.
Ultimately, we felt ignored and fairly disappointed in the food. If he had let us cancel the chicken, rather than having us wait so long and pay for something we no longer wanted, then we would have enjoyed our...

We waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for a table at Dookii, and honestly - it was completely worth it. The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive the whole time, which made the experience even better.
We went with the rosé sauce for our tteokbokki, and it was the perfect level of spicy for us. We ordered the Regular, Cheese, and Cheese Corn tteokbokki, all delicious, but the Cheese tteokbokki was definitely my favorite, followed by the Regular. The Cheese Corn was good too, just more of a sweet-savory combo.
For add-ins, we got some bok choy, green onion, enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and sausages. All the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly in the sauce. The sausages were just okay, just like a mini hot dog (so I'll probably skip them next time). Also got ramen noodles, which were a perfect addition.
We also tried the garlic butter fries which were super tasty, though a bit smaller in portion size compared to everything else. Still worth getting.
And finally we got the boneless K fried chicken thighs. Moist, flavorful, and the crunch on the outside was perfection. Great contrast to the soft and chewy tteokbokki (Forgot to snap a picture)
This is absolutely a go-with-friends-to-share-everything type of spot. We'll...
Read moreThis was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The place might be getting popular, but they clearly don’t care about customers.
Google says their break time starts at 3:00 PM, so we rushed to get there — driving 40 minutes from home. On the way, I called at least 20 times to check their last order time, but the phone was constantly busy. When we arrived, it was 2:30 PM, and they told us the kitchen was already closed.
I asked politely if they could make one more order since it was literally just one minute past, but they flat-out said no. Their excuse was that they had “updated” the hours on Instagram and Yelp — which is ridiculous. Not everyone checks social media before eating.Honestly, it’s absurd for a small snack shop to have a random “break time,” but if they do, they should at least post consistent hours and answer their phone. Terrible customer service, poor communication, and zero flexibility. I won’t be coming back, and I honestly don’t know how long a business can last treating...
