We ordered a jasmine green tea with boba at 100% sweetness and a strawberry green tea with boba, also at 100% sweetness. The jasmine green tea was NOT SWEET AT ALL!! We asked the barista to make it more sweet, which he said sure, no problem, but when we tasted it, it STILL was not sweetened.
The boba charge is $1.00 for both a combo of large and small boba. Never have we ever seen both sizes offered as one topping before. Despite this, $1.00 for boba is pricey. Most places charge 50-75 cents. And ok, charge us $1.00 but you better back this up. They did not. The boba was not only pure soggy MUSH, but it was also not sweetened.
Great boba shops typically soak their boba in either brown sugar or honey. There was no essence of this in our boba at all!
Ambiance: lacking. A couple of benches and two tables. Not much in terms of décor. This place is more of an order and go kind of joint.
Service? We had to order boba off their POS ourselves while the barista just sat there. Sure they make our drinks, but to ask for gratuity when your job description is to make beverages, is unnecessary. It's not like they go out of their way to service you nor do they even ask you how you are. No conversation. No real service. Boba was soggy, and the jasmine green tea was a joke.
There are far better boba...
Read moreI got the Four Seasons (a white tea) milk tea, which I think is my new favorite tea base, with 75% sweetness, large boba, regular ice, and creme brûlée pudding (I thought I would get something I don’t often see as a topping). I am so happy with this drink! Service was fast and easy, I ordered on a kiosk and the drink was called out within 5 minutes! When I mixed in the pudding and boba, the drink was super sweet (which is what I wanted, but next time I should probably get 50% or 25% sweet or not get the creme brûlée pudding, to limit myself to a more reasonable sugar intake). The boba was perfectly chewy, on the softer side, which is what I prefer, with good flavor, and there was a generous amount. The creme brûlée made the milk tea taste like vanilla ice cream and caramel were mixed in. Soooo good. Thank you for a nice dessert stop! The shop is small but very cozy with a few seating options. Side note: I was happy to hear Now or Never from High School Musical 3 playing over the speakers when I walked in. It warmed my gen z heart.
After looking at other reviews, I also wanted to add: You can order using one of 2 kiosks, or with a cashier at the register. There is also a QR code for the menu, and a printed menu near the register. The employee called out our orders when...
Read moreIts really is a cute store, with all light up square shape chair. The logo also really cute. Nice dragon. I love the seal. Order thru kiosk, pretty simple and easy. Have some couple questions and the employee explain well. However my 2 drinks came out pretty fast, it looks beautiful. But the flavor was off. I got one ronin matcha, regular sweet, with boba. And also have strawberry bits. The boba itself was a dissapoitment right away, it was smushy, no chewiness at all, and just plain no flavor whatsoever. And the strawberry bits was so so sour. And its really not a good combination with the matcha. I tried somewhere else strawberry with matcha, but if the strawberry is sweet it will be better than the sour one. This one we couldnt drink it, its goes in the trash :(
And my other drink was matcha with tiramisu, the flavor was pretty good but again the boba was so bad, i got the mix boba which have regular boba and the mini boba, both big and mini its the same no flavor( not a hint of sweetness) and just smushy.
For the thai tea one, its looks really beautiful but i didnt taste it, its for my friend. So i cant speak for that one.
I see a really good potential for this place, maybe not overly cooked the boba, and boba should have a hint of sweetness. Like honey or...
