Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders — Restaurant in Placentia

While the coffee I had is a 10/10, this review is really for your amazing team member, Daniel. I live in Bend, OR and was in Placentia to be with my Mama as we found out less than 2 weeks prior to her going to Heaven that she had terminal cancer. I needed to get out of the house for a bit and thought a coffee and pedicure would be nice. Daniel welcomed me with a big smile and asked how my day is going, which I imagine asks everyone. While I'm normally a super positive person, I could only be honest and say that it's been a bit rough, as my sweet Mama had just passed away. He told me the coffee was on him and when he hands me the coffee, asks if he could give me a hug, which I gladly welcomed. He was so kind and sincere, I could feel the care. I then go next door to get a pedicure, and the lady tells me I have something green on my nose. I'm very confused then realize Daniel had wrote a note on my cup, and the green heart was still wet and had smudged on my nose. It gave me a much needed laugh. Thank you again for your kindness and care. The world needs more...

The place is not very big, but it’s beautifully decorated and feels cozy. The cashiers do their job with respect and efficiency — they’re neither rude nor overly friendly, just professional. A few more smiles would make the experience even better.

As for the food and drinks, absolutely outstanding. The matcha, the coffee, the avocado toast, and the grilled cheese sandwich were on another level. As a Peruvian —from a country that has led the world’s gastronomy rankings for 10 years in a row and is the world champion in breakfasts— I can say it’s not easy to impress my palate, but this place did it with ease.

We come here quite frequently during our lunch break. I love the coffee there. My go to is the hazelnut latte. Even when there's a line out the door, the staff is quick yet never sacrificing quality and they're friendly. I tried their seasonal drinks and they're awesome. They offer milk sub like almond, soy and oat. The teas are good too. They had an acai smoothie that I almost instantly regretted not getting the larger size. Worth the price....
