SAFETY ALERT: My toddler almost lost a finger today at this place. First, let me start saying that I am very frequent customer, to the point where employees know me by name. Love this place and as I said to an employee once "I came first due to the playground (as I have kids), but returned because of the food". Food is great, service team also great. But today I faced a situation that do not want anyone else to face. This place has heavy double doors that allows you to go to the outside. The doors have a mechanism to make them soft close, but the left door (going from inside to outside) I believe is not working properly as when you release the door and it starts slowing it down but when it is getting close to the end it abruptly closes on a very strong manner. My toddler was on the outside and coming to the inside and reached to that the door when it was closing and for a moment looked like she was putting his hand inside to try to open it when I told her to not put her hand there. Then I heard the very strong noise of the door closing. Luckly she removed her hand before the closing, but if she hand't, it is not exaggeration that she should have lost a finger to that alumnium framed heavy door. When I was about to leave I called an employee to let them about this safety concern and his reaction was just to say that the door is not defective and is acting like that because it is windy. I don't think it is due to the wind as the other door (the right door) softly closes perfectly. In fact, if you even try to push the right door to close faster it does not, since the door mechanism controls the closing speed. That does not happen to the left door. But even if that was the case, that it is because of the wind, then that door cannot be used during windy days and must be locked. That door operating like it is today is a dangerous and serious safety concern and it is only a matter of time that some kid will lose a...
Read moreThis place was packed on a Wednesday evening. There were no available tables outside, but it was nice to sit inside with the cold AC so no complaints from me there. I went with my 3 year old & 1 year old so this is coming from a solo parent adventure perspective. The service/line was quick (eventhough it was busy), this is so helpful when solo parenting. Ordering was fast. I got a Hat dog with sweet potato fries for the 3 year old, the paleo burger bowl and Hat burger with tots for me and the baby to share, and a vanilla milkshake. 3 year old played while I got the high chair & baby situated. Food was fast & hot. The kids ate everything so food was tasty to them. I have a gluten allergy & that was no problem. Tots are the best (I liked them more than the sweet potato fries) so I recommend the tots. Paleo burger bowl has some peppery kick I wasn't expecting, but it was tasty & the baby ate it so not spicy by any means. They did forget my vanilla shake, but it was no biggie since I wasn't in a rush to get it. After the kids ate & 3year old was playing, I casually reminded them & it was quickly brought to me. Me & the baby shared the shake while the 3year old had the time of her life. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially if you are solo parenting, the playground is such a nice distraction that you are not going crazy. Tots were my favorite that we ate so get the tots! Service is quick so even if it is busy, they have a really good system &...
Read moreThe food was delicious here, hands down one of the best fast-food drive-thru burgers I’ve had so far! There was a long wait time (15+ minutes) around 7:30pm likely due to last minute dinner rush and the fact the place has more of a “sit-down” vibe rather than a drive-thru.
Unfortunately the employee misheard the meal sizes for our order so we had one regular and one large combo, instead of what we asked for. We were charged accordingly for the smaller meal size but we were missing the large fry for our meal- which sucked because the fries were so good and we had to ration them when we got home 🥲
Would we go back? Definitely, but we’ll be checking to food before we leave to make sure it’s all there. It’s more expensive than other places ($30 for a regular combo and a large combo with no additions or extra toppings), we’re accustomed to paying that price at least for an additional large side with two large meals.
On the upside the burger that had peppers was actually spicy (which we loved). The quality and flavor of the food (plus larger burgers) makes up for the cost per serving- albeit prices are...
