Boston Annie's - Subs, Salads, Sweets — Restaurant in Gaffney

Very good clam chowder, sandwiches and salads. Always look forward to going there for lunch, but, it's very disappointing to arrive about lunch time and discover that someone came in and bought out all of the chowda for the day, before 12 pm or just after opening. Most of us cannot get there early to buy it and we have to wait for our lunch break. It is very disappointing when it's all gone before you arrive. Yes, you have other selections but always having to choose from them and not getting what you came for is disappointing!! As you now expect this nearly every day, PLEASE make a larger batch to keep for your other customers, not all of us are corporate customers. This has happened to me multiple times and if I can't get what I come for, I will quit coming altogether. This is a problem that others also experience and voice in the workplace. Please don't ask us to call and reserve a bowl for ourselves as you have suggested to others. Some days, we can't get away for lunch and we never know which days these will be. We just want to know that when we are able to go to lunch, the chowda we crave will be there for us when we get there instead of being already sold out to corporate customers before we get a chance to leave for lunch....

My experience has been sad. I do not get any of the clam chowder because there isn't any when I can make it there. Out of nine visits, I have only had the chowder two times. Always sold out. I've tried your other soups because your staff pushes that and suggests they are just as good, but, sadly, they are not. Your chowder is your best seller. You should be making a ton of it to keep all of your customers happy. In your own statement in a recent review, you said you would be making more from now on. Apparently, you are not.. Again, sold out on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 1:30pm. You do not close until 4pm. I've came seven times too many now and wasted my time and gas to buy chowder and get pushed into buying something that I did not want to begin with and do not like. Your other soups and your goulash are not up to par with your chowder. Neither is your egg salad. The chunks are too big and it's bland. Since those are not your best sellers, you really need to rethink those recipes. Make those improvements and when I hear about those improvements, by word of mouth, I'll come back and be happy to order your other choices, if I am unable to get the chowder I came for in the first place. We had an event in Cowpens yesterday and one of our members recommended we order from Boston Annie's. We're so glad we did! We needed a boxed/bag lunch option for a group of about 50 people. The sandwiches were so delicious and the bags included chips, cookies, and any condiments you might want. The staff is so helpful, very friendly, and most appreciated, flexible! We had to increase our numbers twice (event the morning of) and they were wonderful. They delivered to our venue. They were on the dot on time, helped us get everything into the building, and double checked that it was correct.

We can't recommend them enough and we will definitely be using them...
