I have been going to this resturant for year's and never had an issue. The new owner made a rule with a waiting list where if your whole party isn't here you can't be sat down at all and everyone after you even if they just walk in are able to sit down if there whole party is here. I only had two people we were waiting and 5 people were sat before us and they refused to seat us until our party canceled our plans and we were down to two people and they sat us right away. There was a lady who was here before us and had been waiting on her plus 1 and they still refused to seat her until her plus 1 showed up. Dont go to this resturant if theres a wait go to the Red Geranium on byron center ave. They never follow this rule and are happy to seat you ASAP. Update: this resturant is a joke now. There is now a 3% surcharge at the end of the bill for the resturant not the servers so you have to tip well and get fees from the resturant. The prices for the quality and quantity of the food is a joke now. You've made coming to breakfast a trivial thing instead of an enjoyable thing. At least update the menu if your going to ask for these prices. I feel bad for every server that loves working here. UPDATE; 9$ For this? 9?? This doesn't even come with coffee. How is anyone suppose to feel good about a 10$ of a wet mess. At least most resturants come with coffee with this kind of meal. I remember when the basics was 3.49 and was good. Now it taste like butter mash with egg flavor. Don't come to this breakfast spot unless you just want a coffee, the only thing their still good at. These poor servers loving their job working for such poor quality food. Where's the flavor wheres the personality this place use to have. It's just sad.

An awesome cafe with a great atmosphere. You are quickly seated and generally don't need a reservation for breakfast unless you arriving later in the morning. Good seating around 8AM. You are quickly served after seating, and there is quite the variety of options for breakfast. I love the skillets and omelets. The gyro omelet, Ranchero skillet, and southwest skillet are delicious. I've heard the Greek and gardner omelets are delicious too. Most of the breakfast options come with toast. They have white, wheat, and rye, perhaps others I'm forgetting. But they will give you four slices with jam. The jam is absolutely amazing. If it was publicly allowed, I think I would just eat that out of the dish. Some of the skillets will also come with salsa which I think is homemade, but it is also always so good. They're very accommodating if you have dietary restrictions. I have ordered omelets with egg whites. Others have had dairy free or vegetarian options, and they are very good about ensuring it's right with you. The muffins are delicious. They have like a red velvet French toast special that is offered around Christmas. The gyro omelet will appear occasionally which is very good. Portions are very large, so don't be afraid to share. But also, they're so good you should just order your own. Highly recommend! Give it a try if you're in the area!

Synopsis: hard working, attentive staff, generous portions, and a price that feels just right. Review: I visited this location for the first time with some coworkers for a 8:30am breakfast. We sat immediately, and the place was busy. Our server was a bit delayed in getting to our table, but she was busting tail and taking care of a lot of tables. Once I received my coffee, she was always topping me off before I knew I needed it. I had the garden omelette. As you can expect from just eggs, veggies, and cheese, it was a bit flavorless. The rye toast was perfect. My coworkers’ food looked more amazing - the BLTE looked especially scrumptious. The food was out in the amount of time you’d expect - about 10 minutes. Service quality was consistently high throughout. The bill didn’t give me sticker shock - I feel like in many places, Breakfast is becoming increasingly expensive and suffering in value. Not so, here! I highly recommend Red Geranium to anyone looking for a solid experience, good food, and a decent value.

It was the absolute worst experience that I have ever had in any restaurant establishment that I have ever been to. I am a chef, as well as a military veteran and we were treated with no respect, we spent an hour just waiting for a table to sit, yet after we first arrived we signed the list so that the servers knew that we were next in line, yet 4 other couples were seated before us and each of those couples had arrived at least 15 - 20 minutes after we had arrived! To add insult to injury we were seated in the back of the restaurant, clearly not where we asked to go and yes there were a few open tables when they finally decided to seat us. Just as well my order was completely incorrect and I didn't want it, but was still charged for half of it! My girlfriend's order was perfect! It was only safe to assume the reason for that was because she is white and I am black. So we will never return to this establishment because of the racial discrimination against me! If I were the owner I would have fired the entire staff and brought in more detailed and professional people. One server was sitting in a booth with customers laughing and talking while we waited for almost an hour just to be seated! Talk about lack of caring for your...
