Honestly had the worst experience at this CAVA with my parents and will probably never go again. when we walked in I started to order my food immediately I told them I wanted a grain bowl, with brown rice and lentils. When I saw them put it in the bowl I knew it wasn’t enough so I asked him if they could just put just a little bit more and they said it was going to cost extra which was news to me because before it never costed extra to get more rice so I just moved on. next I asked for tzatziki sauce so she put all three scoops in my bowl. it was my mistake I should’ve clarified that I only wanted two scoops of tzatziki and one scoop of the red sauce I forgot the name of. so I asked the lady if I could get the red sauce and she said it would cost extra. so I asked if she could just take one of the tzatziki scoops out and replace it with the red sauce. She said I couldn’t do that because I had already put the scoops in. we were arguing back-and-forth on why I couldn’t just replace one scoop for another we even had to talk to the manager about it which she was no help either. Finally I just said then cancel my order and I’ll start over, then she complied and took out the scoop and replaced it with the red sauce. After that I asked for meatballs which later I found out she put lamb meatballs in and charged me extra which I normally just get the regular meatballs because I like them better anyway. when we got to the toppings I asked before hand are any of these going to cost extra and luckily they said no, so I got extra on my toppings. Anyways it was a horrible experience I paid full price for a half a bowl of food. Its really disappointing because CAVA has gone substantially up in price so I thought I could at least get my moneys worth but I guess not. The next day I decided to go to chipotle because I knew I could get whatever I wanted and I could actually get a full bowl of food without paying...
Read moreAlways good service and food here, but had an experience tonight that will keep me a Cava customer and particularly a Cava Gainesville customer for a very long time. Long story short, wallet and a pair of eyeglasses got left on our tray and then we inadvertently dumped it in the garbage. Didn't notice the items missing until we were 20 minutes down the road. Called the store, said we thought we had left them there and asked if anyone had turned them in. The answer was "no", but then my wife remembered seeing them on the tree at some point-- could they have gotten thrown in the trash? I asked the crew member who had picked up the phone if she could check, which she absolutely did not have to do-- those trash cans are a mess and very large--but, instead of telling us to get lost or telling us she had checked and found nothing without actually checking, she told us to wait a minute. After less than a minute she got back to us and said she had found the wallet and would continue digging for the glasses. Wife and I turned around the car and headed back to the store. When we got there they had found not only the wallet up at the glasses as well-- a little soggy, but completely intact and nothing missing from either item. I offered them $100 as a reward (there was $150 in the wallet) but the crew on duty-- dinner crew, we were there at about 6:30--steadfastly refused to take any reward for their efforts and honesty. So, Cava management if you are listening, your crew that was there at dinner shift today, Thursday July 26th, deserves a big shout out. We're going to make it a point to stop there and give you all our business whenever we are traveling through, about...
Read moreI went in to order a menu item. The server didn’t speak any English at all and had no idea what I was talking about. So I had to make the recipe on the spot. in the middle of my order another employee instructs her to start taking someone else’s order. And halfway his order the server comes up to me to finish my order. I ask her to get me an additional sauce since she had only given me two sauces. Then the employee who instructed her earlier to abandon my order very rudely informs me that I only get three sauces and another one would cost me. To which I responded that I only got two sauces. Then she says “well, next time you have to ask when the sauces are being served. Now we have a backed up line.” Mind you that there was only one person behind me. That same guy! Also, she completely forgot that she interrupted my order. Then I said to her “I asked her for the main menu item but she had no idea what I was saying. So I had to create the recipe for her.” I have no idea why she was rude to me. It could be that she had a crush on the other customer, or wanted to demonstrate authority, or had a bad day, or she was racist, or just a toxic person in general. I wish her well. But I probably wont be visiting...
