Absolutely Horrible Experience – Will Never Return

I had an extremely upsetting experience at Rare Tea that I feel other customers should be aware of. When I politely inquired about an extra charge for coconut milk—since my child is lactose intolerant—I was met with shockingly rude behavior from an employee named “danny” (i think she gave me her fake name) who claimed to be the owner’s daughter. Instead of addressing my question professionally, she threw out our drinks, called me names, and told me she didn’t want me returning to the store. She stated “i own this store and can do whatever i want to”

I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully at any establishment. As a parent simply trying to accommodate a child’s dietary need, I was humiliated in front of my kids. I love bubble tea and have tried a decent number of places, so very happy to see another shop open up in the area! and I love it!

The bubble tea is delicious! Personally find the regular sugar to be just right here, not overly sweet. One thing I love is the ice, they use the small chip pieces so most of your drink is actually drink, not ice! The cups are also made of the nice hard plastic. And the straws are very durable too! Weird things but they stand out to me.

I of course had to get my favorite, Thai milk tea, in order to compare to other shops and it is great! I also tried their signature Okinawa milk tea and it's also very good!

It is our first time trying Raretea. It is pretty good and we are glad to have it so close to home. The boba is chewy. All 4 drinks are good. The line on the opening day was long but it was so worth it. It took almost 45 mins to our turn so it was fair to stop ppl joining the line at 5.45pm (15 mins before the closing time). Imagine they would serve the last order at 6.30pm. I think the team deserves respect and love for working hard on their official opening day. They must have worked nonstop.
