This place has absolutely fantastic tasting ice-cream hands down. The store is clean and well maintained. The parking is a bit of a challenge and definitely not for a traveler with a pull behind. Although it can also be accessed by the walker as it is on one of Gainesville's main routes. The parking spots are a bit small because the store is positioned in a very busy area. The main customer influx are college kids, with middle-aged couples coming in second. The ordering process is a bit complicated with no posted directions on what can or can not be mixed together. There are lots of options for flavors, toppings, mixtures, and cones. The staff seem to be adolescent and not exactly well versed in answering or offering much help to customers requests, so if you are easily provoked by a crowd, limited-answer staff, and complex ice-cream choices, then steer clear, however if you are new or a first-timer here be patient as the end result is great gourmet...
Read moreI hate to say it but I really was not impressed with this ice cream. I've heard all the hype about this ice cream. What I ordered was a mint ice cream. And then I wanted to add chips to the ice cream so I can have mint chocolate chip. First of all I could barely taste any mint in an ice cream. And the chocolate chips had an artificial taste to it. The size I got was love it. And with the ice cream and the chocolate chips it came out to be an 8.75. for something that really look like maybe one and a half scoops. I personally feel that the ice cream is overpriced. The only reason I went here was because Baskin-Robbins near where I live the freezers were not working. Baskin-Robbins chocolate chip ice cream run circles around stone cold creameries mint ice cream. Also it seemed like everyone behind the calendar was under trained. I'm sorry to be mean and cruel. But if I'm going to Shell out 875 for ice cream it should be the best ice cream out there. And again I was...
Read moreColdstone Creamery on Newberry Road has some of the worst customers and service. When we were waiting outside for folks to leave the building because the line was long at six feet apart, a lady came in the store in front of us. We told the lady we were next in line. When we went in and stepped in front of her as the line decreased, another couple let her skip the line. We told the couple that we were first and had waited longer. The couple insisted that we were wrong and he had the right to let her go in front. The lady who went in front of us did not say "Oh, you were first" like most people would say. The staff at Coldstone didn't do anything because the server was friends with the couple. Also, there was only one man working the ice cream, while the other woman looked helpless and confused. We will not be returning here ever again. We walked out after waiting 20 minutes for the server to assist the five people in...
