It's very tiny and there are limited amount of inventory/variety of distinct latin products (products from latin america, not main stream latin brands like Goya). and their products are a little expensive, some of the same products they sell you can find cheaper at Save-a-Lot. Also the staff never seem to be in a positive attitude and always seem tired.
Also there isn't a consistent supply of products. For example I found a pretty good Ecuadorian soda the other day and when I went back to buy some more a couple of weeks later they no longer sold it.
That being said it is a local business and there are (albeit limited) great latin products there from different countries like Mexico, the Caribbean, Colombia and Venezuela. They also have some hard to find beer brands from Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and even Venezuela. They also have pastries and cuban bread that are delicious. I like to go in every once and a while to see what they have.
While I never bought meat from them, they do have an actual butcher, which is nice to see.
If you go during the holiday season they sometimes have holiday-specific products.
Hopefully someday La Aurora can expand, maybe move to a bigger store and stock more variety of products and brands. They've been around for a long time I'd like to keep...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCashier was rude. I was preparing a haunted house themed party ( yes i know its in july but that's the persons fav holiday) and she refused to acknowledge me or answer me when i asked for orange candles. I asked about 4 times she was very stuck up and arrogant. I'm not sure what was her problem but it certainly made sure i'll tell my family to no longer go there. Im assuming she is probably the owners kid so i'm not holding my breath in her being reprimanded.
Edit: It was on 7/9/19 or 7/10/19 't was around 8pm. I spent 57.13 but if she had acknowledged me i would have spent more. I hope this helps...
