I would like to preface this review with saying that I love 108 Vine and Plantstay, and have for years ā while they were just a pop up shop to now. However, I recently had a disappointing experience there, and have been thinking about it enough to leave a review.
I bought two mugs with tops for tea steeping for my parents for Christmas. They loved them and immediately wanted to use them to make tea. While my motherās mug was perfect, my fatherās mug immediately lost its handle, spilling tea everywhere. The mug itself didnāt crack ā it was as if the handle had come clean off.
I took the mug back to 108 Vine when I was back in town, and showed the cashier how it had broken, and explained that I just wanted to exchange it for a mug that wasnāt defective.
They told me that returns and exchanges were on a case-by-case basis, and needed to be approved by the owner. They were all lovely, and took my information and said they would get back to me. When I got a call the next day, I was told that the owner had said no, and wouldnāt give me a refund or an exchange, but could offer me a new mug at 50% off.
I was disappointed to hear that 108 Vine was not willing to stand behind their products and issue a new one (or even a refund) when something broke on the first use. Itād be completely different if this were due to user error, but this was clearly a defective product.
Not having a consistent return/exchange policy is one thing ā and I understand that as a local small business that may be tricky ā but telling me my only option was to purchase an additional mug seems counterintuitive. Why would I pay twice (or one and a half times) for a mug that might break the same way?
As Iāve said, Iāve loved Plantstay and 108 Vine for years, and frankly have spent a lot of money there. Iām disappointed in their customer service policies, and will reconsider going there to buy products over...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreāļøāļøāļøāļøāļø I have to say, if I could add more stars I would! SCREW THE OTHER LOW STAR REVIEWERS! They clearly donāt have any patience or understanding that this is a small business that makes crafted coffees! This is my FAVORITE shop in town! They make their syrups from scratch and create amazing flavors unique to their own shop. The staff here are the most friendly people Iāve ever met. Theyāve always greeted me with a smile first thing in the morning and even take the time to learn my name! They make my day literally every day and thatās why Iām a forever repeat customer! Most coffee shops donāt even say hello anymore.
Even when there is a bit of a wait, they always do their best to make sure it comes out perfect! Thank...
