I would like to preface this review with saying that I love 108 Vine and Plantstay, and have for years — while they were just a pop up shop to now. However, I recently had a disappointing experience there, and have been thinking about it enough to leave a review. I bought two mugs with tops for tea steeping for my parents for Christmas. They loved them and immediately wanted to use them to make tea. While my mother’s mug was perfect, my father’s mug immediately lost its handle, spilling tea everywhere. The mug itself didn’t crack — it was as if the handle had come clean off. I took the mug back to 108 Vine when I was back in town, and showed the cashier how it had broken, and explained that I just wanted to exchange it for a mug that wasn’t defective. They told me that returns and exchanges were on a case-by-case basis, and needed to be approved by the owner. They were all lovely, and took my information and said they would get back to me. When I got a call the next day, I was told that the owner had said no, and wouldn’t give me a refund or an exchange, but could offer me a new mug at 50% off. I was disappointed to hear that 108 Vine was not willing to stand behind their products and issue a new one (or even a refund) when something broke on the first use. It’d be completely different if this were due to user error, but this was clearly a defective product. Not having a consistent return/exchange policy is one thing — and I understand that as a local small business that may be tricky — but telling me my only option was to purchase an additional mug seems counterintuitive. Why would I pay twice (or one and a half times) for a mug that might break the same way? As I’ve said, I’ve loved Plantstay and 108 Vine for years, and frankly have spent a lot of money there. I’m disappointed in their customer service policies, and will reconsider going there to buy products over other places.

What a refreshing find in the heart of Gainesville! The chic store and amazing staff provide customers a sense of belonging. Like being wrapped in a weighted blanket safely home. The experience was uniquely Gainesville. An experience only an independent and locally owned business could provide. 108 Vine also serves what I could describe as the best cup of coffee I have had in town. Simple and balanced! #experienceGainesville #fountainPens #patioFurniture #clothes #uniqueFinds

This is a 5 star coffee date place! My friend and I regularly hunt out new coffee shops to explore and this is likely our new ā€˜time to chill’ spot! The coffee was excellent, as was our bagel, but the variety of gifts and cool things to look at was an adventure all its own! I suspect it is NOT a ā€˜quick stop to pick up a latte if you’ve got somewhere to be’ kind of spot - the time to service (order, delivery) is the only reason it’s rated lower in those categories.

108 vine is an absolute Gainesville gem. Whether you’re a local or someone who is just stopping by to visit, this is a place you need to experience. As an avid coffee lover this shop quickly became my go to place in town. Firstly, I love that 108 Vine makes their own in house syrups and offers a unique selection of coffees and teas. Secondly, all the staff are warm, friendly & so helpful. They take the time to make sure you’re satisfied with your experience. And even if coffee isn’t your jam the best part about this store is they have so much more than that to offer. From their amazing & ever changing selection of cool vintage finds to their thoughtfully curated gifts from local artists in town and their special back room dedicated to children there truly is something for everyone at this shop. The owner Bren has made such a beautiful spot for her community to support one another. Nothing makes my heart happier than good coffee and to be able to shop & support small business. Do yourself a favor and go...

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø I have to say, if I could add more stars I would! SCREW THE OTHER LOW STAR REVIEWERS! They clearly don’t have any patience or understanding that this is a small business that makes crafted coffees! This is my FAVORITE shop in town! They make their syrups from scratch and create amazing flavors unique to their own shop. The staff here are the most friendly people I’ve ever met. They’ve always greeted me with a smile first thing in the morning and even take the time to learn my name! They make my day literally every day and that’s why I’m a forever repeat customer! Most coffee shops don’t even say hello anymore.

Even when there is a bit of a wait, they always do their best to make sure it comes out perfect! Thank...
