Update: I'm leaving the original review below for reference, but this isn't still a problem there. Way nicer baristas, and the coffee has been spot on every time I've gone recently.
Original review: The coffee is good, and atmosphere is nice. I really wanted to be able to give this place more stars but the staff has for the most part been so so so snobby. I don't like flavors in my coffee and I also can't have dairy, so if I'm only getting myself a drink they're fine. However on multiple occasions I've seen them make people feel terrible for trying to order a flavor. They've done it to both friends I've brought there, and other customers whose interactions I overheard. I still kept coming for awhile, until one interaction I had that was just ridiculous. I was trying to order a mocha to bring back to someone, who had previously enjoyed Curia's hot chocolate. When I ordered the mocha the person working immediately said, "We don't have flavors, sooooo....." and trailed off and just stared at me. I then asked if I could just get a hot chocolate with espresso in it, because that's basically the same thing. She rolled her eyes and was like "Yeah, that's just perfect. What kind of milk?" I then made the mistake of saying regular milk. She then rolled her eyes again and was like "Oh, do you mean COWS milk?" Which was completely unnecessary because we both knew I meant cow's milk. Then the price of the drink was somehow $7, which I didn't really question at the time because I didn't think it would go over well after the rest of the rude interaction. So I ended up paying $7 for a small 12 oz drink, that apparently didn't even end up tasting good. Since the drink wasn't for me I made the mistake of not tasting it before I left, but when I took a sip after the person said it wasn't good it tasted like she had just put completely unsweetened cocoa powder in a latte. After that I realized I hadn't had a good experience at Curia in awhile, so I stopped coming.
TL;DR: Liked their coffee and atmosphere when I first started coming here, but eventually rude staff and high prices made me stop going. Not...

I recently visited Curia on the Drag and was immediately drawn in by the cozy and inviting ambiance. The shop's eclectic decor, with its vintage furnishings and vibrant art pieces adorning the walls, creates a truly unique and charming space.
I started my visit with a steaming cup of coffee, and I must say, it was perfection in a mug. Rich, aromatic, and expertly brewed, it was the ideal companion to a leisurely afternoon. Paired with a delectable cookie, freshly baked and wonderfully indulgent, it was a match made in heaven.
However, the highlight of my visit was the Bagel Bomb. Let me tell you, it was nothing short of spectacular! Bursting with flavor and filled to the brim with savory goodness, each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The combination of fluffy bagel, creamy cheese, and savory fillings was simply divine.
But it's not just the food and drinks that make Curia on the Drag so special. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to work or catch up with friends, Curia on the Drag offers the perfect setting.
In conclusion, Curia on the Drag is a must-visit for anyone in Gainesville. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur, a foodie seeking delicious treats, or simply looking for a cozy and welcoming space to relax, this place has it all. I can't wait to return and explore more of their...

12/8/17 This is an edit for the negative. My previous review was from my experience in the coffee shop which is called curia on the drag. The eatery next to it owned by the same people is called curia off the drag, which the is the place I am reviewing. This is the place that you can get vegan food, which is delicious but don't expect good service. A woman named Lowe(Lo?) was very rude to me as I approached the counter and asked for their limited-time special melt that they had advertised just hours previously on Facebook. I kindly asked her about a new tempeh sandwich that I didn't remember the name of . She snapped back the single word "Temp-EH!" with a different pronunciation , which I'm assuming was her correcting me. Taken aback but not losing my calm, I continued explaining the sandwich I was looking for. Without me finishing my sentence she snapped " it's not available". I mentioned that it was just advertised a few hours previous, to which she replied in a very angry tone "I can check for you ". I went to speak again but she snapped back "I can check for you " and stormed away to the back room, where I watched her push the door open, walk through, and turn back around without asking anybody. She avoided eye contact with me as she answered the phone, then told me it isn't available. I believe guest service to be very important. Perhaps she could have suggested something else or try talking nicely to people. Her attitude does not reflect kindly on...
