Let me start by saying that I have never had excellent service at this location; however, it's never been SO awful that I'd choose to go to the neighboring Starbucks instead. Until Friday. I often use the On-the-go mobile ordering option on the DD app. Frequently the staff "hasn't received my order" when I arrive; they ask my name, "find my order", and I'm on my way. Since this happens more times than not, I wasn't surprised when my Friday morning visit started out the same way. The ending was a bit different, however. Chelsea, the manager on Friday morning, could not find my order and dismissed me. When I tried showing her the receipt on my phone, she waved me away, and told me to have a good day. "I don't have your order, and I won't give you free coffee. We're busy, goodbye." is what Chelsea said to me. The receipt is on my phone! I was not asking for free coffee, just the order I had paid for! I did call customer service for the app and got my money back, but the $2 for my coffee is not even the issue here. Read moreI just had a pretty upsetting experience at the Dunkin Donuts on Thompson Bridge Road. From the time we walked in, there was inappropriate music on in the store. After the girls and I ordered and sat down, I realized the music was filled with curse words. After I heard the word Bi* about 5-6 times, I walked up to the counter and asked if they could please change the music as it was inappropriate for my 5-year-olds to hear due to the curse words. They turned the music down, but proceeded to discuss among the staff how people are so "sensitive" today and that was just "how they rolled". One even said, "I knew she'd probably say something".
Since when is not wanting your 5-year-old to hear music with curse words in it "sensitive"?! I ended up asking who the manager was and they told me it was the same as the other Gainesville location. I politely thanked them and called said manager at the other location as soon as I got in my car. Read moreI had visited dunkin this morning to purchase a sandwich for my hungry friend. I was extremely short on money, stressed, and my card declined. I was short on time as well and I explained to the young lady serving me that I would have to run to my car to try and find some more change to give her. Without hesitation, the girl serving me paid for my meal and told me to keep the money I had. I did not read her name but she was the shift leader for morning crew. My day was made and I am extremely grateful for her kindness, it's people like you that make the world a better place. I know it was a small act of kindness but that really went a long way.
