Update: Management reached out to me to make this experience right. My son and I visited this weekend, and while the food was great, the staff(minus the very friendly and attentive manager) were short, and aeem untrained or misinformed.
I honestly think it has ZERO to do with the Freddy's franchise or product and everything g to do with poor help based out of Cooke County. They seem unmotivated, eager to pass the buck to someone else and hands off when it comes to assisting customers. This visit a cashier had to go get the manager to use our voucher for the last incident and I was I itially told I could only use it on a burger, when the voucher clearly says ANY COMBO. She asked if I wanted a manager and he came out and explained to her that she knows that's not true and avowed her how to process the voucher. She seemed aggravated to have to actually DO anything. The manager was very sweet and apologized, and our food came out fine. And he assured me the "napkin" issue was resolved, but if he hadn't been there, we would have left immediately and not tried again. Food is great, management is fine but man, this Cooke County staff is pitiful... Original review from 10/2022-- No napkins, or paper towels, tables all dirty, trash full. When we asked for napkins we were told they were completely out when I could see 2 tolls of brown paper towels at the drive through on a shelf. Custpmrrs were having to go in the bathroom and get ticket paper to wipe their hands or give to their kids...HARD PASS. Bums me out too. Gainesville really needed something new. Poor mgmt and supply issues yet again plague chain restaurants... Doubtful well be back wxcwpt through the drive through for concrete or shakes. Guess I'll supply my own...
Read moreWe walked into a freezing restaurant. Should have been clue 1 to turn around. I tell the worker who is taking my order that it's freezing inside there. He says he doesn't know anything about that or how to change it. I asked if there was a manager around and he said that he was the manager. Ok. It probably took 16 min. for our food, which we decided to eat outside on cold, nasty concrete tables because it was warmer than inside. I went inside to get additional napkins and was asked to get ketchup. There were the cup ketchup dispensers, with no cups. I ask the guy for some cups and he gave me one. While I was waiting for a customer to get his ketchup, I went to get another cup and some napkins. I got the napkins and someone told me there was an employee putting more cups out. I asked the employee for another cup and I guess he decided it would be nice to hold the cup for me. So as I pushed down on the pump, the employee perked. Moving the cup, and LITERALLY splattering ketchup all over a baby blue sweatshirt, white t-shirt and jeans. I happened to have a tide pen in my daughter's suitcase so went to work on my clothes. By now the food was cold so I just threw it away. I decided to go to the Ladies room before we got back I'm the car for several hours, so walked inside again, only to find myself on a skating rink. I was terrified I was locked in the ladies room because my sneakers couldn't get any traction on the wet floor. Bad food, ruined clothes and waste of time and money. Will not EVER go to...
Read moreI was warned about the customer service but they were fine to me for sure. The wait time was a little longer but still quick compared to many other food locations. I don’t expect excellent customer service from food places since most delusionally pay their employees like children living at home with their parents but the individuals I interacted with were just fine.
The burger was great but much pricier than I’d prefer for fast food. They’re delicious and so is the chocolate custard but…I saw them using chemicals to clean a hot grill. The fumes were everywhere. This is an obvious problem but they’re also doing this at the same time as using the grill right next to it and having food on the other side of the grill being cleaned exposed to the air. I will absolutely never eat food from a Freddys again. Common sense and wisdom isn’t difficult; clean the equipment like it’s always been done before people became weak, lazy...
