Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Gainesville

Usually I go to 5 star pizza since its a close distance to where I live, but I kept getting Hungry Howie pamphlets and thought I'd give it a try. The food on the ads looks good so I was expecting it to be yummy, but was extremely disappointed. The food was very overpriced and the portions were very small. The Large pizza at 5 star is almost twice the size and has a lower price than Hungry Howie's. The chicken wings were tender and soft, which I love, but flavor wise were very bland. The wings had almost no sauce on them, it was like eating plain chicken, not spicy chicken wings. The chicken pieces were also very small and the portion size is smaller than 5 star, which has tastier chicken wings. The pizza itself was alright, not bad but nothing special, so not worth the price at all. Overall, I got less food from hungry howie's but a significantly higher price (compared to 5 star). The food's flavor is fine but not nearly good enough to justify the higher price.

I also got the wrong sauce with the chicken wings, so there's that but thats an honest mistake and happens everywhere so I dont hold that against them. One great thing about this place tho is the cajun bread I got with the wings. It was delicious and beats any of the appetizer breads you get in pizza chains and 5 star. This establishment (if you can call it that) has been nothing but trouble ranging from their lack of ability to answer any calls to place an order to giving away my order to the wrong person which I guess was their way of saying they didn't even bother to make my order in the first place because if someone had picked up my order and there wasn't another order with the same name as mine then who's order didn't you not make. Im an understandable person and a mix up of an order is something I could live with but when there is no other order with the same name then you are just showing the level of "quality" to expect from their workers and management. And then and only then were they motivated enough to make my order and expect me to wait another 30 min. No thank you, I'll take my business to someplace else where they will actually make what I order and answer my call. Sadly I did enjoy their menu but with service like this I can find any reason to give them any money without some sign that these troubles have...

Ordered food from here after I wanted to do door dash. Door dash wasn’t able to accommodate the way I wanted my pizza so therefore JEFF told me to just “COME ON UP HERE!” Which I did. Got home and the ENTIRE order was wrong. Which due to my kids being picky caused them to miss out on the meal. Called back in the Manager GENE assured me the he would make sure that whenever I ordered again he’d replace the entire order. Which I did tonight. Called and the person who answered said they don’t have a record of that order. Then I realized he was the same guy I spoke to when I ordered the last time AND when I called in complaining about my order. When I told him he hung up in my face. I called back he had ELLIJAH (if that’s his name) answer the phone and say he’s with a customer. Idk if it’s because they are on the East side of town or what. But the way I was treated and handled tonight was very unprofessional! Only giving one star...
